Thinking about the foods we eat.

I've sometimes have the feeling about how many insects we end up eating without even knowing they crawled into our food. I don't always end up getting this feeling, but sometimes I think this when I sometimes eat: "I wonder if an ant accidentally crawled up into this rice.."

I'm not saying I'm paranoid of this feeling(and I'm not saying you should be paranoid either).

Have you ever wondered about this feeling?

Yeah. Its kind of weird because I thought I was strange to wonder about that. I always think, "Well what traveling across this apple?" I don't know. Its weird to think about.

Once, on holiday, in a restraunt, this woman on the table next to us was tucking into a fresh salad. She dug in her knife and she said to her husband "wow this salad is tough!" she manages to cut it in half and reveals a cockroach cut clean through the center inside her salad, with its legs still wriggling!

And it was meant to be a 5 star restraunt!

Put me off salad for life, seeing those hairy legs wriggle in with the lettuce.

Wow, that's a pretty convincing story, but the salad I eat is clean. :D. I always get a clean dish.

Well, my salad is definately cleaner than hers. And she was eating at a 5 STAR RESTAURANT! I eat salad at HOME! :P

 

No. Insects are edible. I just don't like them if I eat them raw, and I'd never do that.

My father once ate chocolate covered ants, and said they were delicious and high in protein.

 

Hmmm... well it could be the type of ants he ate.

All ants have the same structure. It does not depend on the species.

And they were normal black ants.

Yesh, it pretty much worries me of what I eat, mostly fruit. I always think worms and bugs are in my apple. Other fruits I have a feeling that an insect or bug was crawling over my food.

 

There was a news item in the UK about a mother who was putting a bunch of grapes in her childs lunch box. Then she saw the Black Widow spider on them >_>

It happens all the time, insects can survive on boats and planes across the ocean.

 

Ew... I see. True it happens, alot. Insects seems to be clever to survive a ride. ( Hehe that ryhmed)
