This, this so much. I think it's the fact that you're underwater...
Just so many stories in real life of the great monsters that live underwater. And, in Morpheel's case, how dark it is. You just fall through a hole, and randomly hit water, and sink down, until, all of a sudden, you see a creature emerging from a hole in the sand with tentacles sprouting from it.

The Legend of Zelda games usually always have at least one creepy thing...Whether it's a dungeon, an enemie, or a boss.

One other thing that's creeped me out in games, is MineCraft (Silly, yes.) But, simply wandering in the deep, dark bowels of the Earth, simply trying to survive and gather material to make life easier, when you turn a corner, and jump out of your skin with the sudden sight of a zombie, skeleton, or spider. It's even worse, when after you've defeated a hoard of enemies... You hear a devestating "Ssssssss" and your hair stands on end. D:

Really the only time I have ever been scared (truly frightened rather than just shocked) was when I was playing The Haunted Mansion on Ps2 for the first time it was dark in my room. I was fine till I got to the part in the kitchen . . . anyone who has played this game will know why.

The dark chamber in the forest temple of Zelda OoT. Or at least that is what I hope I am thinking of... Something like that, been ages. But yeah, dark chamber and you see nothing but little yellow eyes. Easiest things to kill but I remember hurrying through that room every time. And then doing everything I could not to fall down in the entrance where they were hiding in the shadows. They still kind of scare me, must of been a childhood fright sort of thing that haunts me still. Nothing since then in a video game has really scared me though.

Oh yes...And the parts in the Forest Temple where you'll just be walkin' along, and out of nowhere is a giant hand that grabs you by the head...

Oh god I forgot about that. Wow, Zelda loves scaring the little kids... Even the bosses were scary. The spider was like "lolvanishingfromsightnowandgoingtoattackyoufromuphere."

Yeah...I must say, the only times Zelda is truly creepy is in Dungeons really MADE to be creepy...When it's pretty bright...Even by the Fi- ReDeads...Everywhere...That scream...

I'm afraid of underwater areas in video games. In Super Mario 64 I was always so afraid of dying by running out of breath. Same thing for Tomb Raider, why does pulling pulling levers underwater take so long! D: I'm also afraid of the shark in KH1 Atlantica.

The one thing that scared the crap out of me in the Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess are those hand things when you are trying to get the orbs at the Twilight Palace, I always paniced when I saw their shawdows over me...

Wallmasters from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Every time I play the game and a shadow is seen under me, I constantly run around and try avoiding it. << Those things are creepy as hell. And same goes for the Redeads. The scream that comes when you're frozen scares me. ;_; Shadow Temple scared the hell out of me. It still kind of does.

In Majora's Mask, whenever Link puts on a new mask, his face gets all...creepy-looking, that used to scare me when I was little. It's still kind of creepy now but it doesn't really make me lean back and be all, "DEAR LORD." like it used to. Skullkid used to scare me a bit too. I just find him a bit eerie-looking now. Ikana Canyon creeped me out a bit too. >>

The bosses in Catherine. >> I haven't played the game, but I've seen a playthrough of it. The bosses are very...creepy. Especially this boss called Shadow Vincent. ><

    In Persona 3, I hate Death/The Reaper. << Having to fight him scares me, whenever Fuuka says, "I sense death." makes me jump and freaks me out knowing he's going to pop up, and just the idea of being chased by him scares me. Along with the fact before he pops up, you hear chains rattling slowly and eventually it picks up. ;__;

Certain parts in the Resident Evil games. I haven't played them but I used to watch my brother play them. When it's dead quiet in a room you're in, next thing you know, a zombie pops up and this dramatic music starts playing. >>

^Same here, though my sister is playing RE like a maniac XD I am freaking scared of those monks in RE4, i can deal with regular zombies but those monks are so scary!

Plus, everything that has a human form XD I know it might sound weird but the more humanoid an enemy is in a game the more it frightens me. I can deal with weird looking monsters, i even played once the battle against Salazar in RE4, but humans... O__o I mean, even Sephiroth in the first KH makes me feel as if i'm going to die or something.

And of course, Forbidden Siren. All of it. I've played only a demo version of it and that's it. I was scared to death. I don't even want to remember this thing. The dark creatures from Obscure are also quite scary, especially in the first part of the game when you have to run and that big monster is chasing you but hey! you have to defeat darkness while that thing is killing you! HELL NO! >.> I can deal with the rest of the game as long as i thing how bad it is XD

DMC enemies also used to scare me, especially in Leviathan's belly in DMC3, but i got used to it.

Oh yeah, the skeletons in Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation! I just run away as quickly as possible, i don't even want them to touch Lara. I'm not sure why, i guess it must be the graphics. Has anyone else ever felt that the enemies look creepier when the graphics isn't very good.
