Another thing not to do on your first dates - Talking a lot Its okay if you have a lot to say, but do not drown your date with constant blabbering. I do not speak from experience. I have seen it happen, though.
I basically agree, yeah. You mentioned not talking about sex, but I would add not actually having sex on the first date because that is really ****ing tacky. No doubt I will have someone jumping down my throat for this because it's KHV and people just love to call you out for opinions, but that's the way I feel.
