" Maybe, maybe not." The girl smiled coyly and dangerously. "You would never know."

 

Sora was too busy eating the snacks to talk at the moment.

 

"That's true... For all I know you could be a puppet..." Riku shrugged, "Still, I don't know..."

"Meh, human or not, you're a friend right?"

 

A puppet!?" The girl growled. "I am no puppet, knave. You are the ones being pulled blindly by strings."

 

"Why does everyone keep saying that?"Sora asked, frowning.

 

"Well... I can't tell you anything now. But watch your tongues before they are burned within your bodies." the girl growled.

 

"And whats that supposed to mean...?"Sora asked. "I just... don't know what to believe any more... If you're right and we are puppets... Does that mean everything thats been going on isn't even real? Are my feelings fake? Is me loving Riku fake?"Sora started crying.

"Sora, as long as we have beating hearts, we can't be fake. As long as we can be happy, angry, in love, how can our feelings be fake? As long as you can make these," Riku said as he wiped a tear from Sora's face, watching it sparkle on his finger, "how can you still question our feelings for each other? Puppets don't have hearts do they? Without a heart, how can we cry? That isn't something that we learn,but its what we feel"

 

The girl chuckled. "I don't think you understand. And I don't think you ever will."

 

"Well if that's the case, I really don't care. I'd rather be naive and think we exist than see the truth. Ignorance is bliss ya know?"

 

Sora hugged Riku, crying into his chest. "I just want to go back to the islands...I miss Destiny and Hikari..."He whimpered.

 

"We'll go back love, don't worry. As long as we're together, it'll be ok and don't worry we'll see them" Riku said comfortingly as he hugged Sora tightly.

 

"I just hope they're okay..."Sora whispered.

"they'll be fine love, no worries..." Riku said comfortingly, stroking sora's hair.
