VEL followed...wuickly running out of breath after running.

The nurse set Sora down on the bed. "I'll go and get the doctor and some other nurses. You 2 stay here."she went into the hallway.Sora immediantly sprawled out on the bed, giving a small groan.

 

EAM noticed Ashir catching up quickly to VEL and her, Parma followed quickly as well. "Hey mom!" he smiled, his breathing not struck by the running.

 

VEL was taking a break, taking deep breaths.

 

EAM took a break, a littler ahead of VEL, Ashir wasn't stopping.

"I haaaate running..."VEL whined. "maybe I should practice my stamina..."she panted

 

"Or pacing yourself." EAM huffed, and started jogging again to the hospital.

 

VEL followed, jogging.

 

"Sora, you okay? Do you need anything? Anything I can do to help?" Riku asked, looking anxious as he took Sora's hand and gently squeezed it.

 

"Riku, stop worrying, I'll be fine..."Sora said, her tail swishing back and forth.

 

"Right, right," Riku said, looking slightly less worried, "I just can't wait till we see our litter..."

 

"Well they seem to be taking it pretty well...you guys sure are taking it easy on mommy..."Sora chuckled at her sentence, a hand on her stomach. she looked at the door way. "now where is that doctor...? surely it shouldn't take this long..."she gave a small huff.

 

"If you want, I can go look for the doctor. Unless you don't want me to leave.." Riku said, anxiously looking at the door.

 

"Maybe this is part of what they're doing. Give us privacy and then when the kittns are all born check to see if they're all healthy..."Sora said, scratching her cheek.

 

"Perhaps. After all, nekos are different from regular humans and after all, too many people will cause you stress," Rku said with a nod.

 

"Heh, well I've dealt with alot of stress lately."Sora chuckled nervously. She whimpered as the pain struck again. "Okay, that one came out of nowhere..."she said.

 

"Just relax honey," Riku said as he held Sora's hand, "I'm pretty sure its almost time. Sure is taking forever for some medical staff to come around..."

 

"I don't mind. Its always been kinda natural for nekos and cats to do this stuff on their own..."Sora said. She whimpered as the pain was starting to really get to her."I kinds wish they would hurry up though...I don't think the little ones will wait..."she said, holding back tears. She got into a comfortable position where she would have an easier time giving birth...or rather, a comfier position for an expecting neko in labor.

 

A nurse came in, Doctor by her side, along with a few other male and female nurses. "Doctor, we have a neko in labor, experiencing pains, and has a litter of about three from previous medical records provided by a young woman and her friend. They seem to be accompanied by a small boy and have been asked to stay in the waiting room."
"Alright alright, let's get this done, and give this one a pain killer." The doctor washed his hands, and put on latex gloves.

EAM sat in the waiting room, Ashir sleeping in her lap. She watched him silently, thinking to herself.

 

Riku stroked Sora' hair and gripped his hand tighter.

"They're here, see? Don't worry, this will all be over soon. Just hang in there okay?" Riku said, although his own voice shook with apprehension.
