She's alright--but I think that some singers these days tend to steal music from foreign singers and make it their own. Get what I'm saying?

Well, I am what you would call foreign and I must say that I've not been keeping up with Nicki Minaj, but does she really steal that much music? Flo Rida is a huge offender of blatantly stealing music, but Minaj? Either way, I was really just commenting on bod, really

Protip: Listen to music that resonates with you in some way.

I love songs that I can relate to or gives me some sort of emotional response. I even love songs that make me cry. I don't let Top 10 charts or what's considered 'popular' or 'mainstream' dictate what I should be listening to. If I only listened to the radio, I'd be missing out on a lot of really great music by bands that are not played on the radio like Blue Stahli and Celldweller. [And really, my radio choices here are limited to: 3 country stations, 2 contemporary, 1 adult contemporary/mix, 2 classic rock, 2 rock, 1 Christian rock, and 1 oldies station.]

Listen to hard rock music if you get the chance to. Best type of music for life.

I would say you have a point, but you've used this argument yourself. so that just makes you a hypocrite.

This. Say what you will about his music (I personally don't care for his old music and haven't listened to any of his new music), but he's a rather decent human being.

For me, personally, it's pretty rare to find things on the radio that do resonate with me (notable exceptions of course), but you really have to explore music before you completely dismiss a certain genre or such. Initially, I remember saying I hated Rap and Hip-Hop, but then I found artists like Of Porcelain, Nujabes and Emancipator, and I really love it. The things that play on the radio are just a certain style of an overarching world of music: don't dismiss something without exploring it much more in depth. You'll find a lot of gems you would have otherwise ignored.
