OK, it's just that SirFred keeps bringing up Void, so I thought it'd be more appropriate for your character to appear.

 

My character has always been present ever since the RP started.. didn't you notice?

 

It doesn't count if you treat your character as inanimate.

 

Basically, Void is just waiting for an opportune moment to begin acting. I was just using him to bring Zack up to speed on what a pokemon is, and stuff like that.

...Don't you guys get it? In the anime whenever something like this happened the hero always challenged the person who did it and then won and got the card back...

Also, If this "Void" guy doesn't appear soon I think I'm just gonna disregard him...

Oh and since you guys don't care about happy endings or if important fundamentals regarding the anime like this are ruined I think I'm gonna drop out of the RP after this.

@Jaden Yuki , I can't duel on weekends... At least not without difficulty...

I came up with it myself. If it ain't broke don't fix it is what I think lol. And me and Jaden are alike in that way too. He often uses the same moves in his Duels. I remember how he'd open with Bubbleman and draw 2 cards a few Duels in a row iirc.

 

Eh... why do we even try to make it interesting and orginal? After all there will be that guy who is not seeking inovation, but stagnation. It called undirect route Jaden. We go for happy ending while adding chance for some development. For example if Silver wins he can just give a little talk about how garbage Winged Hairball is and gave it away (still his deck is focused on power so he have no need for a monster like that) OR keep card, letting Jaden chance to challenge him again, when he can get his card back. Both of example will give you 'happy ending' for this little unecesary Arc and will be more orginal than what they did in smilar examples in anime, which is boring after they use it again.

Plus somebody needs to remember you how unrealistic protagonists win streaks are. Even Cokemons do a better job and they lett Ash loose from time to time, when its not necessary for him to win.

But hey if you hate sugesting inovation that much just drop out of RP. It will probably die, but why would you care? By doing that you will have chance to fight with evildoers who don't belive that anime is unflawed.[DOUBLEPOST=1417219747][/DOUBLEPOST]

Another big flaw of anime.

 

Do you honestly think that in the anime if somebody stole Jaden's Winged Kuriboh he would Duel them to get it back but end up losing and then they end up keeping the card or tearing it up? No of course not...Because Winged Kuriboh is a very important card to Jaden and in the anime the protagonist always wins when it matters most...That's even the case with Yuma...

 

Do you honestly think that doing the exactly same things that anime did is entertaining? Because I don't and you are going for exactly same thing as anime give us every ****ing seson. Somebody steals card and somebody somehow wins it back. That was boring in first series and it continued till Arc V and will continue in future if there will be another one. At least here we can go for something orginal.

 

So you're cool with a protagonist getting one of their favorite cards stolen and then failing to win the Duel and get it back? Well I'm not...We can still come up with original ideas without breaking important concepts and fundamentals.

 

Yeah I'm fine with that. That would breake a ilusion of plot armor, show that they are not alpha and omega of dueling and still alows for going for happy end when they can get card back. Because it won't be that bad if they will rematch opponent to get back card. But if you have orginal idea that won't do exactly same thing as anime do every time I will be more than happy to hear that.

 

Jaden wins > Happy end!
This works, and is what you want. I'll leave it alone.

Jaden loses > Card Torn > Bad End!
This is bad. There's no need for the card to be torn, especially if it's such an important card to Jaden. This should only happen with consent from Jaden, usually if he wanted to use it for character growth.

Jaden loses > Silver keeps card > Right back where we started
This is neither good nor bad. It can happen an infinite number of times without changing anything. Still, expect it to shake Jaden a bit.

Jaden loses > Silver throws the card off a cliff/into a river/whatever > Jaden chases after it and eventually finds it > Happy End
This is good, but works only if Silver legitimately doesn't care about it, or wants Jaden to have it but doesn't want to appear to be helping Jaden. In this case it could work out.

Of these, the first and the last are closest to just a straight happy end. Since the last happens on a Jaden loss, Jaden losing doesn't require a bad end. That's the main point here. You don't need to win. This can turn out well no matter what happens.
