Well, I'd duel but losing all the time kind of kills the entertainment that I'd have from doing so.

The anime god cards are inconsistent. What I remember hearing (from the anime) is "Unaffected by traps" and "only affected by spells for one turn."

Regardless, you could also beat a god card field with something simple like a monster that can attack multiple times + honest.

Lol The God Cards are NOT unaffected by card affects. That's one of the many lies told by the anime. Do NOT use it as a guide for learning the rules of the actual game. Trust me kid.

I just found this thing that I posted earlier in this thread, and thought it might be worth trying.

I'm thinking each of your turns you may take two actions, where an action is defined as either drawing one card (you don't automatically draw one) OR setting, playing, or activating any card or non-mandatory effect except for the effect of a monster card on the field. Then during your opponent's turn, you can only activate one non-mandatory card or effect.

So during your opponent's turn you could Effect Veiler or Mirror Force (assuming you have a set card) or Necro Gardna, but you couldn't do two of those things on the same turn. And cards that make you draw a lot would stop being OP, because there are big restrictions on how quickly you can play things. And it would make cards that need to discard as cost actually be useful.

Maybe add in all monster effects can only be used once per turn for free. So I could play Snipe Hunter with one action then discard a card to destroy something without using an action, but then if I wanted to discard a second card to destroy a second thing I'd have to use my second action for the turn.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Maybe to slow the pace of battle too, we could make it so that entering the BP costs an action. Not sure, that might be counterproductive since swarming has already been limited.

Maybe one free attack per turn, then you can spend an action to allow all your other monsters to attack too?

Well those rules certainly hit Pendulum the most, but nobody use them here anyway (yet).

Next type of summon that gets hit is Synchro Summon. Some Synchro decks won't be able to do even 1 Synchro Summon in 1 turn, since summoning of monsters would take two actions.

XYZ are in bit better situation I think, but they are hit anyway.

Only type that gets giant benefit from those rules is Fusion Summon, making it just overpowered.

And at least battle should be for free. You not gonna easily have many monsters of field anyway.
