(I said would have, so it wasn't final. Please continue with your Junk Archer on the field. Also, your character shouldn't see what's in her graveyard before this point... Actually, that applies to everyone~. I know, a bit early.)

There really isn't a need to have someone interfere with whatever she's doing.. cards are counted as being apart of the duel disk, so if you destroy them, they will regenerate just like how a duel disk would when destroyed. Plus, no one can get killed through any means other than dueling, so Yuya's already safe by the rules that Void had put in place.

You can pendulum summon from the hand in addition to from the extra deck, so you don't need to dump them from hand. And if you look at the current meaningful pendulum archetype, they have a card that when it's a scale you can pay 800 to search any of their cards from the deck, and a monster that when tributed will SS any two from the deck, which if you don't do anything with them will then die and go to the extra deck.

Also, even using the generic vanilla pendulums + magicians/odd-eyes, I was able to get out The Wicked Avatar to win a game against Brook. And we didn't play very many games. Using an actual pendulum archetype instead of random stuff flung together means it should be no problem.

What, with anti-spell fragrence? it loses to any S/T removal, which people will be running anyway to try to fight pendulums. And in addition to that, it'll slow you down a lot if you run it at three, and you'll rarely get it early if you don't. If you simply unset the scales by destroying them, set one scale with tool pay 800 to search a card to set the other, then SS five monsters.

There is no way to be material efficient against pendulums. You just can't do it. One for one trades against them put them back into the extra deck so they can be brought out for free. Running them over? The same five can be SS'd in defense position every turn. Dark Hole? They'll all be back next turn anyway. Qliphoth even have a trap that lets them add three pendulums from extra deck to hand, so they can set scales even if every single pendulum in their deck gets sent to the extra.

If you decide to run anti-spell fragrence you should also consider something to protect it:
[IMG][DOUBLEPOST=1406677125][/DOUBLEPOST]I actually can't wait for Konami to make some Lightsworn Pendulums. Imagine self reviving JD.

If you're running Imperial Custom to protect Anti-spell fragrance you've already lost. Without anti-spell, Custom is dead. Even if you get both, you're massively slowing your own play. If you only run Imperial Custom at one, you're unlikely to get it. If you run it at two, you're likely to get it without having anti-spell. If you're running 3x anti-spell 2x customs you're using an entire eighth of your deck trying to prevent your opponent from setting the scales. If they do set them before you can stop them, an entire eighth of your deck is dead.

Additionally, if you choose to main them, you're going to lose hard against decks that aren't reliant on spells, so they're only reliable in the side deck, meaning you have to play a game before you can even try to use them.

What's even better than splashing in Trap Eater.. you can main deck Yaksha in Pendulums. Clears S/T and continuously throws back anti-spell fragrance due to its return to hand effect. Plus, it's also as good a beater as Trap Eater, but can do both face-up and set S/T.
And if you imperial customs, it'll end up useless before this monster. The only way to beat Pendulum is by using the same amount of brokeness that they use against them. Or broken anti-meta.. but that's still considered broken.

I don't think there's even broken antimeta that can stop them. You're just forced to use Pendulums.

Midrash stops you from SSing more than once per turn. Pendulum lets you get out five monsters in one SS.

Nephilim kills SS'd monsters by battle. Pendulum provide the best tribute fodder in the game, and will come back if killed. (this also means Neph can't run over them for damage)

Shekhinaga drops one to negate/destroy an SS'd monster effect. A pendulum will just come back and use its effect again.

Egrystal is the only one who can do anything meaningful to Pendulums, but a pendulum deck that has a tribute summon game outside of pendulum > tribute will easily be able to summon something to kill it. A deck that can't will likely run S/T to remove something like that.

I actually thought Midrash did individual monster count, not whole SS counts.. so I guess it doesn't stop pendulums >.>
Egrystal is the only one who can put up a fight, just barely, against pendulums.
There may not be an anti-meta that's broken enough to stop them, but would Satellar be broken enough? They may be able to OTK before the pendulum user can fight back. Or is fast enough to destroy both scales with two of their 3x4 generic so they can hopefuly 2 turn win against them while they try setting the scales again. The Satellar Xyz would provide some coverage when they get killed in case the pendulum user had extra pendulum scales in hand to pendulum summon 5 monsters again the turn after you kill their first two.

They can't touch the boss monster of the only relevant pendulum archetype to date without using equip magic on their strongest attacker, and even that is a tie. Even running that at three, there's only about a one in three chance of starting with it, whereas Killer is searchable by multiple cards. Satellar are super strong because they can turn one card into a combo into a strong monster. Pendulum get their stuff out for free. Satellar can probably fight pendulum, just like Shaddoll can, but they're still at a disadvantage. Also: I don't believe Shaddoll can touch Killer at all. I may be wrong about that though.

Shaddoll, if Killer is already on the field, can only beat it through using their field and fusion summoning Shekhinaga using Killer as the material as the card implies.
