The Yugioh Card Duel Arena 10.0

Since traps are rather powerful in the arena, and it seems like they aren't hit enough, I suggest a massive hit on all traps that counter your opponent's plays and stick to using mainly situational traps instead. There isn't really any problem with them since their conditions can always be fulfilled in the arena. I feel that since generic traps are powerful in random, they are and will always be too powerful in the arena. With their existence, we'll rarely see situational traps ever be played, even though the point of the arena is to be able to use such situational traps. With stuff like solemn judgment and warning not banned, it defeats the purpose of non-random dueling.

 

You're wrong about that. Situational traps see usage because they're cheaper. Why solemn judgment when you can Swallow Flip or Curse of Royal?

Honestly, I think we should make two generic ban list changes. "Any card that can cause you to draw more than two cards at once is limited" and "All counter-traps are limited".

 

not banned? just the existence of counter traps makes it less fun to go second. I mean, you have less cards 100% of the time than the guy who went first. also, there are spammable cards like T.G. hyper librarian that can completely bypass your first rule.

 

And that's why we limit hyper librarian, and why arena dueling is stupid in the first place. It's not like adding rules means you need to abolish everything else.

What the fuck are you talking about? How are those similar to "almost every card?"[DOUBLEPOST=1406232912][/DOUBLEPOST]But yes I think I see what you guys mean. The arena WOULD be more interesting if all Counter Traps were Limited. Except Dark Bribe of course. It's pretty much useless here.

Not these cards. Argument you use. In non-random you can spam almost everything. Plus I didn't said anything about similarities.

 

I know that but alot of cards are not a threat even at 3. That's why I don't restrict everything. And also why Konami doesn't.

You just seemed to be implying that.

 

To get it straight:
1. I think your argument that you used to limit these card was not reasonable enough (one in post with notification about limit). And I had problem with that argument alone.
2. Other arguments you used were far more reasonable an they should be in post informing about limitation in first place.

 

Let me clarify. When I said "too spammable at 3" I meant too abusable at 3.

I meant they're too spammable for defense if they aren't Limited.

 

And I get that. I got problem because limit notification didn't said anything like that. If it would this situation wouldn't be happening.

You did. But post informing about limit said: too spamable. There werent any information about effect or being abusable, just too spamable. Let's give it a rest Jaden. Talking about it over and over won't change fact that information had bad design and were able to lead to misinterpretation of your reasoning. I'm not blaming you for anything because there is nothing left to blame you for. You already gave proper explanation. Whole situation is over now.
(If you haven't noticed yet I'm taking about literal meaning of "too spamable" with have nothing to do with too abusable. At least for me when I translate it.)

I think it's just that we've got our hands full with our own duels. or we aren't interested. and like I said before, there has never been a successful battle royal duel in the history of this arena.
