The Yugioh Card Duel Arena 10.0

About the case where Yakumo accidentally played 2 copies of Compensation without knowing they were limited.. I'm not really sure if you posted about that, but I think we should be notified of any changes to the banlist as they are made. Our players should have basic knowledge of the banlist, but it is unfair for them to get instant game loss via ninja banlisting. That is why I am proposing that we make it a rule that you cannot receive a strike or game loss if you have played a card that was not originally banned or limited and that its limitation or banning had not been notified by the one editing the banlist. They will get to redo their entire move with all cards that were just revealed to the public during that turn alterable. If this happens and the turn had already been passed, the duel will continue as is.

I believe that since the official game keeps notifying their players of the next banlist date, it would be appropriate for us to notify whenever we change the banlist. Thus, no players should be help responsible of not having knowledge of a change in the banlist if you do not post that you have changed it in some way.

Again, this is just if you don't already do this. I also want this rule to be put into the first page of the duel arena.[DOUBLEPOST=1406167943][/DOUBLEPOST]

Imagine if someone dropped a Japanese Damage Eater to their grave. They may not be using it right now, but they may use it in the future. Then it would be unfair for the guy activating a burn damage effect when they had no clue what damage eater did until it's too late. That is why even dropping a card for a cost or card effect is considered using it.

True. I made an exception since everyone agreed on it. But I just don't want anyone whining about how they got a gameloss in the future because of something like this and saying something like: "Hey no fair! you made an exception for Yakumo why can't you do the same for me!?"

But yes you do have a point. That rule might help prevent that.

Wait why would they use a Japanese one when there's an English copy? What would be the point of that? If anybody ever pulls some bullshit like that I'm just gonna give them a strike and it'll be their fault. But did you post about card of compensation being limited? I was talking about how you should post about your edits to the banlist since konami does the same. people don't check every day, there's actually a set date where everyone checks and is informed of all banlist changes. here, however, we don't have a set date for banlist changes, so you should at least tell us that you've changed something instead of having us check all the time. I think it's unnecessary for those who already know the banlist and end up having a game loss for not being informed that you've changed the banlist before their duel started.

They wouldn't, and have no right to whine about game loss if you specifically posted before hand to check the banlist for listed changes because it has been updated. Otherwise, it would be partly the fault of the one editing the banlist for not informing the players about its changes. Checking every time we duel and every time we make a move is kind of unpractical.

I was just giving an example. If there were a card like Damage Eater with only an OCG copy, they can do that with an excuse. That's why posting the card effect right when it's revealed to the public is important.

Well I know how to rectify that easily enough. Starting now, If I have to tell someone to post the effect/text of a Japanese card in English they get a strike. And if I have to 3 times they get a game loss. (Though I would prefer it so much more if they would just translate the fucking thing...)

 

Quite rarely do we have this happen anyway, so I agree on that rule being added.

 

@Toon-Girl-Abby You don't seem to understand the concept of the arena's banlist. Unlike Konami's my banlist is designed to make the game fair. I'm not going to just restrict cards willy nilly just because they're powerful. That's why I didn't hit Utopia the Lightning and why I didn't ban Raigeki or Change of Heart etc. I only restrict cards that allow for unfair advantage or ones that are abusable at 3.

You're right though. I probably SHOULD limit Xyz Treasure Ticket.
