Kyle went first so he can't activate it anyway even IF it was filled because every single trap ever made in this game goes bybthis 1 rule. You can NOT activate a trap on the same turn unless you had set pyro clock of destiny theturn before.

You are allowed to activate traps in response to anything, and you are allowed to activate traps in response to nothing, but if its the beginnign your opponents turn, he still has priority, you cant do it right after they draw.

HE DIDNT DO IT ON THE SAME TURN. HE SAID "IN RESPONSE TO YOUR DRAW". THEREFORE, ITS NOT HIS TURN.

nope. he has to play a card first.(or say he passes priority, but that probably wont happen.) as soon as he summons a monster, or even uses an f/d, you can use str.flush.

 

allright. priority was what I was trying to work on when the site dropped so that's a confusing one for me. So I'll edit so it's Straight Flush on anything he does this turn.

 

i wouldnt be so sure though. if he activates a counter trap, you cant use str. flush because of spell speed. i would just wait for him to make his move.

 

So I guess you set those cards as facedowns so I activate royal decree which says you lose because of my faceodown counter counter

I activate my Straight Flush in Response to Royal Decree.

Counter Counter can't be activated because Straight Flush is a normal Trap.

Chains resolve in reverse order so your backfield is destroyed by Straight Flush followed by Royal Decree which has nothing to negate before it's destruction.

 

its still unclear whether decree was activated on his turn or your turn...
if it was on your turn then you cant do anything about it...

True, but to give all this talk about being a bad spot and then give me no chance to win would deffinately make me want to kill someone. except that's impossable online and illegal so it wouldn't work out too well, so I would just be very angry for a while....

So in ther words not much would change lol.

EDIT: MST is a no-go with Horus on the field, unless he feels merifull for a turn.

 

He'd have to activate it on your turn and Mixt mind that continouos traps are faster than normal traps so straight flush can't be activated because you can't activate trap cards on your 1st turn of the game. Also that means you lose. That was a 2 turn kill my young padawan.

 

Both are spell speed 2.

And the debate talk was about if Kyle activated it in response to me setting a facedown or if he did it durring his second turn.

 

And that children is why you forget your friends/siblings passwords. Because you can accidently reply as them. Our duel'll have to wait till tomorrow Xakota and don't worry I won't use the combo used in this duel.

 

Can I challenge that duel as being an OTK? It became impossable for me to do anything when only one of his turns has passed. Technically it would take several turns after that to actually kill me, but what caused me to lose was all in one turn.

Actually, if you're willing to hold on, I think there is a chance of me countering that setup. I just need to look into a few things.

 

FTK- First Turn Kills aren't allowed and sure I'll wait. I activated it during your turn but I think it'd be considered a TTK- Two turn kill

 

Read the card. Counter Counter can only stop Counter Traps. Not any other kind of trap.

I'm just missing one card and yugioh has a lot to dig through if you don't know what it is your looking for exactly.

 

I was going to use counter counter just in case he figures a way out other than 5 pieces of Exodia which doesn't fit his theme exactly. Seeing how counters are the fastest card but royal decree would negate it anyway.
