Really, because you used your only monster reborn on dark magician. And because monster reborn targets anyway it wouldn't of worked had you still had it. Although not impossable, getting obelisk back would of been much more dificult than using monster reborn.

Actually, his effect does notapply when he's in the graveyard, so you can use Monster reborn to revive him.

Obelisk effect also doesn't say anything about sacrificing monsters for inf attack, and you used his first effect to destroy mixt field, so he wouldn't be able to attack that turn.

On all, and i do mean all seasons on the anime there was a point they broke the rules, i.e Yugi using card of sanctity on Jaden, many times people stayed with a EG on the field after special summoning it for more than one turn, Joey tributing Sheep tokens, etc.

 

Also Neither Deadroot nor Ha Des targets. I never had to state that I was using Dreadroot's effect against Obelisk because it was used against all monsters that met the requirement of being on the field and not being Wicked Dreadroot itself. And Ha Des effects anything that meets the requirement of being destroyed by a fiend type monster while Ha Des is on the field.

 

Also according to Obelisk's effect in the Sacred Cards he inflicts 4000lp for every two offers. Let's wait for Xak. Jaden said he's the one who settles these things. If you wish to continue I'll continue the rest of my turn.

He said and i'll say again READ THE ****ING CARD DAMNIT, it doesn't say ANYTHING about offers taking out LP, and if it does on Sacred cards screw it, most games have changed effects, and Sacred Cards is obliviously one of them.

I would say to redo it since the effect was invalid. Obelisk was even negated with Ha Des so it wouldn't have the wipe-out effect anyway at that point.

 

I play fissure on Dark ruler Ha des. then I play a second fissure on Deadroot. then I play overload fusion by removing from play one of my dark magicians and buster blader I special summon dark paladin then i play pot of greed then I play ancient rules to summon my second dark magician from my hand then I special summon the second too last card in my hand then I attack you directly with all my monsters
