By that logic, you could say Gateway of the Six at three isn't broken because there's no way to search it... (Though it obviously is the most broken card in the Six Sam deck)

 

The guy is right though. Super Polymerization IS balanced to some extent. I think that's why it hasn't been hit by Konami. You have to have a monster on the field you don't mind losing, something in your hand that's okay to discard, and if you want to be prepared to steal "any" monster, you need to put at least one copy of the Fusion of each type of element in your Extra Deck.

But it would be very rare, Almost impossible for something like Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Monster Reborn, or Change of Heart etc. to not benefit you. That's why they're all hit.

 

Yeah but we're talking about a custom card here...not just any card that can be used in random duels.

 

Again, I'll tell you that you CAN use customs in random duels if you want, just have to get creative...

 

I would like to take a moment to announce that Fred has been ignoring my VMs about setting restrictions to his Fables because he apparently doesn't want his deck to be hit...So I would like to take a moment to ask everyone which Fables should be restricted in what way. Because I think we can all agree that aside from Dark World Fables are tier 1 in non-random. I've balanced out Dark World already as you all know so now I just need to do the same with Fables.

Fred my friend, You do realize that this is something that most Yugioh Players have to go through right? Konami will often hit popular decks that people love to run. But they have good reason for doing so. Because when a deck becomes so powerful that it murders everyone who isn't running it nobody wants to play. And so Konami sets the proper restrictions to the power cards of those decks to make things fair. And if I don't set proper restrictions here nobody is going to want to play here either. And non-random wise Fables and Dark World are tier 1. So therefore proper balance needs to be set to them. I do hope you understand. If I hadn't set proper restrictions in the past my Arena probably would've died back in 2009.

For those who are curious: My favorite deck to run besides E-Heroes would have to be Blackwings. Yeah definitely Blackwings...

 

I feel we have a similar taste in Archetypes. How do you feel about Gem Knights?

Didn't think you'd figure it out that quick...

I've been running a GK deck on DN for a little while. It's annoying trying to find a good build without resorting to Rescue Rabbit, but it's doable. They're tied for my 2nd favorite archetype with Blackwings.

You can put my name back up on the character board, btw. I plan to come to the Arena much more often now that I'm on break.

Actually, I haven't responded to them because whenever I see one I decide to respond to it as soon as I come up with something decent, and then I try, fail, realize there's no way I could possibly make a decent decision because they're the deck that I use, so I'm incredibly biased, then I give up, and forget about the VM. I think that the main problem is that they can use certain cards that are already limited so well, like card destruction, and painful choice, and those cards aren't powerful enough to ban, and if we even thought about it it would then lead to other cards, like Graceful and Pot of Greed being questioned, and we specifically don't want to ban those. If those cards were ignored, Fables and Dark World would be as powerful, and there would be no reason to try to limit them, so it's difficult to look at them as using those cards, while trying to keep those cards seperate.

I also don't really believe Fables are truly top-tier anymore. Most of their key cards rely on having a small hand, and top tier non-random is all about having a massive hand, especially since you've taken out cards like Heavy Slump, which would punish having a massive hand.

 

Plus Ragin gets you nowhere hand-wise...

 

exactly, Ragin relies on a small hand, as do Unicore, and Kuddabi. Valkyrus and Leviathan could be useful, but they cost a few Fables to summon each, and don't offer that much return. Levia can be useful, but can be banished which makes his effect worthless.

 

Btw, you know Ma'at and Rosarian are in DN now?
