since Jaden was only complaining about the power LaDD has with 5 counter traps set behind it...

But if you didnt set any face downs then LaDD would be unprotected and easily removed from play...

Get it through your thick skulls that that card needs to be Banned! It's too powerful to be legal here. End of story.

Oh and by the way, That's it. I quit this arena. I'm done. I'm fuсking sick of people contradicting me on every goddamn thing I say. Especially when it comes to matters as ridiculous as this one...Next thing I know I'm sure people are gonna start using Light and Darkness Dragon against me and then set a bunch of facedowns in every Duel to prevent me from playing any cards and make sure that they always win against me and not even care that they're completely cheating me...Well FORGET IT. No. I quit this arena. I'm not dealing with this anymore. I'm not going to take this much shіt in a thread that's supposed to be FUN...

The whole point of that post was questioning why we were setting five face-downs with it, rather than leaving cards in the hand. The way I would personally set it up is use pot of greed, set three cards, then declare I'm ending my turn, if you use Veiler in the end of my main phase I can stop it from ending, the three cards that are destroyed are statue of the wicked means three copies of white elephant's gift returns me to hand of five, while you're at hand of two, set a few face-downs, you can't recover. If you leave him alone, three face-downs can either be used to help keep him alive, or for a final waboku, jar of greed, acumulated fortune as his death effect triggers, and then summoning something like Sangan to the field, that either costs you a card, or can net me one later.

tell me.. how exactly are you removing it from play? with effects? nope, can't use those.. uhm..
at very least it would cost you two cards to get rid of it, which is also the least it costs to summon.

I've agreed with you more than once that it should be banned, while only suggesting that it should only be limmited once. you say that this thread should be fun, and Brooklyn and I enjoy playing with these cards, and try to either make them the most powerful they can possibly be, or trying to flawlessly counter them in such a way that it dooms the opponent. I would happily try to counter combos like Anti-Spell Fragrance plus skill drain plus Ojama tokens, plus ground colapse, plus a face-down of some kind, or maybe a dimensional fissure, but that doesn't mean I think Anti-Spell Fragrance should be un-banned.

*sigh* its really hard to discuss a card if someone always thinks its being aimed against him even though the said combo which was used against him only happened once and he thinks everyone else is going to be an ass and do the same combo on perpose...

 

hmm. actually that doesn't work as well as it sounded like it would.. maybe add in Dark Simorgh and replace dimensional fissure with macro cosmos.
edit: no, Simorgh would be negated.. hmm. duh, just replace the Dark Simorgh and Anti-spell with Imperial Order, and then change the earlier statement to not being against banning Imperial order. Wait, is it banned? I'll go check. interesting, only limited. hmm.

That makes most of us here kinda down when you burst out and say you're quitting like this... Either way... You're free to do as you please, just saying don't snap at everyone for one or two people debating you on a subject, especially one as dim as LaDD banning... That's painfully obvious for the ban list...

yes, I am thinking out loud because I posted it, and then I realized it wasn't very good, so I wanted to fix it, but I couldn't just leave it up in the broken version while I worked on it, but if I took it down, it would remove the point made around it.

I'd hate to disappoint my fans. Especially my favorite players here like you. I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression. You had nothing to do with this my good friend.:smile: It's just the people who are saying that they want LaDD unbanned that I'm alluding to. (At least I think that's what they were saying) And that's really frustrating because anybody who has a freaking brain should be able to see why that card needs to be Banned...

 

For the love of sports entertainment can we just burn the damn card and move on. Or just make it's own thread for you guys to argue/discuss/lackingFtogive about it. It would be better than 5 pages of this happening every few days.

 

We were not saying LaDD should be unbanned, we were talking about how to defeat it.... in said scenario.
(Said Scenario being LaDD+5 face downs.)
though I still wouldnt think anyone who saw the argument we had last time use said combo on you...

creating another thread just to discuss a card that Jaden hates as much as me with synchros would only lead to him finding it, reading it, and make it even worse than what we are doing now cuz we are technically "hiding" this from him if we did make a thread JUST to discuss one card...

 

just thought of a great way to get rid of LaDD. get Glow-up into your grave, then declare it activates four times, each time it is negated, so you can still use it's effect. You can then use it as a Glow-up Blub later. Same thing with Quillbolt.

 

we may explore the many wonders of LaDD later.. but for now im getting tired of thinking about a card that can be used in thousands and thousands of combos....

It's called being facetious, I do that. It be better if we just dropped the subject, if you and Fred would like to discuss it more then PM or something(a thread for discussing cards wouldn't be a terrible idea for you guys though).

 

Best method I thought of for getting rid of it was Volcanic Queen.

There is still a way to stop this if you have facedowns though so this plan you thought of isn't perfect.

the only thing you could do is if you had a copy of disappear, and I believe you're the only person I've ever seen use that card. Crevice Into the Different Dimension would also work if LaDD controller has an earth monster they're willing to remove, and I've seen both you and Nemesis use that.
