that trap card does not negate it destroys and since giant trunade is going to the graveyard either way it doesnt do anything...but I think you get to set a card down after giant trunade resolves...
due to your traps 2nd effect...(I think...)

im still wondering if dust tornado would let you set 1 card facedown after it resolves chained with giant trunade...
it does say to destroying 1 spell/trap card which giant trunade is...so could he have set another to replace dust tornado?...would dust tornado's 2nd effect still happen?...

want to know what happens? you set the card immediately after dust tornado resolves, it is then returned to your hand by giant trunade. plus, you can't activate traps the turn that they're set anyway.
