I admit that I've overreacted sometimes and I apologize. I just really found it strange that someone would ask that question...I mean I thought that was self-explanatory...

And I hate to admit it I'll be honest. I do get pissed pretty easily...

But once you get to know me I'm nicer than I appear.

he was in the lightsworn deck I put up.

@ Jaden, be nice to the noobs.

also, imperial iron wall + quillbolt + cannon soldier = win

okay, buster, this card isn't quite invincible, but it's close. It's attack is equal to the number of reptiles in the grave times 500, it's completely immune to all effects, when destroyed by battle, you can special summon it by removing from play one reptile in your grave, and every time it does battle damage, you put a counter on it, three counters and you instantly win. It is possible, and not too difficult, to counter... If you have a deck built to fight it. you can't negate it's effect, as it's immune to whatever negation you try to use, so the only way to beat it is to either remove enough reptiles from the grave you can easily kill it, which most decks can't do, or sacrifice it to summon Volcanic Queen, or Lava Golem, which most decks don't include.

Yeah...kinda what I have been trying to say xD
In tourniments + Medusa diety trollface grower=win
I mean, there is probably a way to beat it with like if you have "ruin, queen of oblivion" you can use megamorph on it then keep destroying medusa trololol until it runs out of snakes then win.
but theres less than 100 cards in the whole game that can beat this card so... its a very effective trollface o_o

Oh, but Z-One can probably kill it within 5 turns cuz he himself is a giant flying trollface to begin with...

Edit: still asking about what happens if The Wicked Dreadroot halves a monsters attack effected by solidarity if Dreadroot's effect is also continuous...

Invincible cards refer to customs if that's what you mean.

Sure no real card is unbeatable. But some customs are.

Our earlier debate was on unbeatable combos.

    Interesting subject.

Can a combo truly be unbeatable? I mean when cards are made several factors are considered past their sheer power. Ignoring the low probability to gather all those cards in your hand or field with the presence of the random draw in a real life duel, there is the sheer complexity a high powered combo may require to pull off. Making something complex, is also making it fragile. If a combo is highly dependent on the cards on your side of the field or a few choice cards, there is a high chance that your opponent will ruin it on the first steps, even without knowing it. The most simple example is not allowing the player to gather monsters to sacrifice, a second is not conforming with certain requirements the opponent needs your to complete, another is having a monster or magic that restricts the opponents movements enough to stop or stall him and yet another is, unknowingly, destroying a necessary card, for a combo, in the field, hand, deck or even graveyard. Even by chance, one may at any moment activate an effect that destroys the hand of the opponent, completely toppling all their efforts to gather the cards that are needed to pull something off. In fact, a player's deck SHOULD be build around the assumption that the need to break a powerful combo, accidentally or otherwise, will arise and have at least two or three cards that provide similar strategical advantages. Even using those cards at constant yet random intervals, one can completely annihilate another's ability to pull off a desired plan. Assuming that one was smart enough to consider this possibility and appropriately prepare his deck, pulling off high powered combos can be a nightmare. And even in the off chance that one did not plan for these possibilities, one might just be lucky or skilled enough to just beat you while your hustling to gather all necessary cards to your hand and field. In fact, in RL duels, if one focuses too much in pulling these complex combos, especially a specific one, he most likely to loose.

When judging you do need to remember that these cards were made for a specific way of playing in mind. Chance draws change a lot of the in game game-play strategies and card usage. I won't even go into the subject of the probability of actually finding all necessary cards for a combo through booster-packs.

In conclusion, a combo's power and potency is completely dependent in three things: your skill, your opponent's skill and pure dumb luck.

You know, In retrospect, due to the difference in what WE are doing with what was intended, some cards and combos should just not be allowed in online matches.

There, said my piece. Sorry, kinda had too.

EDIT: Ok, i just had to add this. Taking all the above into consideration, do you guys even know how much you complicated this game? What you guys are currently playing, assuming one's deck is properly build, is essentially and for all intends and purposes, mental chess. Heck, i think playing a strategy game like warcraft or tiberium wars can actually end up being simpler than playing this if the opponent is skilled enough.

yes, they have complicated this game beyond cuz without the random card draw they have made combos way beyond the possibilities of being pulled off in real life making unexplained rulings occure...

In a nutshell, that's pretty much it.

But, it goes even further. You guys are removing the luck factor of a duel, essentially rendering it a contest of pure wit. Just spamming cards won't do here. You need to keep in track the opponent's cards, all played, probable and destroyed, consider possible card combinations amongst over sixty cards, assuming that you even know the opponent's deck, and predict hundreds of possible strategy routes your opponent can take BEFORE you can move appropriately. One must always keep all those factor in mind, in order to have the ability stop and counter assault any attempt of attacks he makes or to even initiate an attack. Sometimes, assuming your opponent is REALLY good, you might have to repeat this process three times, or more, simultaneously and be three steps ahead of your opponent to even have a chance to win. One might even have to as far as to strategise even before the duel, while he is building up his deck, cause the list of cards he has available while dueling, now becomes an indispensable resource and one of the crucial keys to winning a game.

As stated again, this is practically mental chess, only with a greater variety of pawns. Pawns that you have to pick or make and set properly to even dream of winning a game, which practically renders it even more complex.

That is precisely the point. I've always liked to think of this game as being like chess. That's the whole purpose of this Duel Arena. I realize that it can complicate it more yes but I think that it's MORE FUN this way. And BETTER this way.

Think about it this way, The anime doesn't exactly make the character's hand full of spells or traps on the first turn and such, so the Duel Arena sticks to the anime's way of Dueling and showing what strategies and skills you can unleash and the opponent has to make a move to counter it and also prepare for what the opponent may have up their sleeves. And thus this shows who the better Duelist is unlike the actual game where the draw is random. There's a reason why there isn't a random card draw here, the anime doesn't use this function so the heroes and villians get what they want to pull off an epic duel so My Arena follows this so we can fully enjoy the game and try and outmaneuver the opponent's moves, of course some people can hold back and make the duel go on for more than 3 turns but basically, I only hold back on newbies to let them enjoy their duel and get used to the no random draw.

Sure, The Duel Arena DOES have some flaws and can't completely replicate the real game. But it still allows players to Duel in a way that shows who the better Duelist is.

And sure, it is sometimes annoying to figure out a good move but it's all in all good fun people here just Duel like in the anime and enjoy themselves, some like me who enjoy role-playing a Duelist with the respective cards or combos they could've used in The Anime.

Good to know we think alike, at the very least, in the potential of this version of the game. Mind you, i DO think of this as a completely different version of Yu-gi-oh, one could even go as far as to consider it a different game, but still, i like the challenge this thing could offer...and the custom cards factor. Kinda a childhood dream custom cards are. Plus, do you have ANY idea how hard it was for me to find someone to play in RL where i'm at?

I do wish to point out though, that RL dueling isn't inferior to this mode of play and you shouldn't underestimate it. It just moves at different rules. For example, RL dueling is simply more reliant in your deck's overall balance, your ability to improvise and your ability to time your attacks. Adaptability also plays a large factor, you have to be able to make due with anything in any situation, thus, in some ways, it takes more skill. All in all though, same game, different strategies, slightly different rules, as stated before.

I do insist though, that what is allowed and not in the arena should be VERY carefully evaluated. After all, right now your playing command and conquer with starcraft races, same genre, different game but some units just don't match.

unfortunately im an unbeatable combo genius that thinks only to destroy...
*which is why I pwn people at chess 90% of the time...*
but isnt it kinda hard to duel here?
I mean, with no random card draw you can easily beat any cards so its the matter of waiting for the opponent to have an empty hand OR throw everything you have at them...
and then you make the mistake of having a "cheap" move done then poof DQ'd...

First: Unbeatable? Heh, i like the sound of that. Dueling you WILL be fun.

Second: Thinking only of destruction is like giving too much attention to one leaf on a tree, you end up missing the forest. <- You can thank Miyamoto Musashi for that one, my martial art skills and outlook of life was never the same.

Third: Of course dueling here can be hard. Dueling anywhere can be hard. Playing chess can be hard. Doesn't make it any less fun. You need to understand that this is a compteatly different form of dueling. Winning here requires unconventional strategies and decks, like those you mentioned. I don't know about you, but i find the idea of unraveling this game's winning formulas highly intriguing. Nothing like improvising, constructing and discovering something new and interesting, even something as seemingly petty as tactics for a children's card game. I already started off with making a few special cards and setting up a weave of strategies in my custom deck. You can find my cards in my profile in spoiler tags, in one of my recent VMs with Jaden, feel free check it out if you want, i won't mind.

Last: I am SOOOO making a chess deck later on.
