Kaiba was controling it...he used a card to send it to the graveyard as he owns the card that did it...
so when it goes to Axel's graveyard it would be sent by the "controler" no matter who controles it at the end lol

 

but when it goes to Axel's grave, Axel controls it, so it was sent by Kaiba, who is the opponent.

 

OK, when a card says "you" it refers to the owner, so, since it wasn't sent by the owner, it's effect activates.

 

so "you" or Axel would be the owner after kaiba sends it to Axel's graveyard but "you" cant activate its effect since it was sent by the controler who owned it before it was in the graveyard...
wait I think I just realized something o_o
but since it was sent by kaiba which was the controler of the card it doesnt matter if you own the card, you cant use its effect unless the opponent has sent it to the graveyard...right?
kaiba was the controler at the time that it was sent so it does not activate...
yeah I think thats right...cuz it says "when" not "after" >_>

 

Actually, I was wrong there. "You" doesn't always refer to the owner. I'll message Jaden and try to get it settled.

exactly my point...it shouldnt be this complicated so you guys must be thinking too hard cuz obviasly the controler of the card was kaiba and so the effect does not activate since the effect says "when" this card is sent not after so it doesnt activate in the graveyard after its sent...the card doesnt say after it says when >_>
and this is yugioh we're talking about here not just any card game lol...this card game has gone to the past, present, future, and motorcycles xD

Good luck finding all that...you could use the new Kaiba Corp Ego Metertm, should be able to find large hotspots of ego.
