shouldnt be possable since he was controling it atm and the effect doesnt activate in the graveyard unless it was sent by an opponents card effect, only then would the effect activate in the graveyard...
it wouldnt count as opponent sent cuz Axel was not in control of it, so it does not activate in Axel's graveyard.
BUT! either way tributing is not sending >_>

    It's true.
It's because those effects activate once they hit the graveyard, and they always go into their owner's.

I guess it's just the way I think but it seems to me that once it is in the grave, kaiba is the opponent, and kaiba's card effect sent it, so it should be able to activate. Can't find any rulings on it though, so *shrug*

    Why's that?
Well, it know it works that way with the original Stardust and Colossal Warrior.
    Isn't it the same?

when Kaiba used the card to tribute it, it recorded it as Kaiba sent and since kaiba was controling it, once it hits the graveyard it would be as sent by the controler...

the card Axel was using only works when sent to the grave by an opponent's card effect, as opposed to any card effect or battle, or something like that.

I seriously dont think tributing counts as sending...
unless you can tribute this monster to summon another and then special summon a T.G monster from the grave by its effect...

NVM everyone xD I was thinking about something else that confused me lol...
    tributing counts as sending @.@...
Edit: wait now I dont know...
isnt the only way to send a card to the graveyard by discarding/destroying/sending from hand or field/ sending as a cost?...
I thought tributing was intentional so it wouldnt work?...

he "tributed" or "Offered" the monster as a cost to draw...I dont think that counts as sending =/
and if he was the one who did it then it would go to your graveyard as sent by you...the controler...

When this card is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect, you can select 1 of the monsters that were equipped to this card when it was sent to the Graveyard, and Special Summon that monster from the Graveyard.

and it was sent to the graveyard using kaiba-boy spell card effect

he "Tributed"... as said on the card.

there is no player 1 or 2...its just the controler and the opponent.
if it was on kaiba's field then kaiba would be the "controler" of the card...meaning even if it was sent by his card effect it would hit your graveyard as sent by the controler of the card not the opponent...it kinda records the moment someone sends it to the graveyard no matter whos graveyard it goes it >_>
its either the controler or the opponent.

if a card goes to the grave, it was sent. end of story.

but when it hits the grave, axel controls it.

Shoot Quasar says it only has to be "Removed" from the field, not sent or removed by the "controler" nor the "opponent"...
yes its effect would activate in your graveyard or removed from play pile whether or not removed by Controler or opponent.

When a card is sent to the graveyard, it is sent to the owner's graveyard. In this case, the owner is Axel.

So, when Kaiba sent Leyvaten to the graveyard, it was sent to Axel's graveyard. Leyvaten's effect activates in the graveyard, so Axel would be the one to use the effect.

but it would be recorded as sent by controler so it wouldnt activate even if its in his graveyard D:
