That doesn't really apply, but it's all I could find.
My friend got laughing gas once, she was extremely truthful and laughed hysterically at anything I said...that was amusing. I got worried when she kept pointing at the sky calling it purple...

Well I tried to warn you not to Duel him. You brought this on yourself.

    One more thing, please people,

STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE ME THAT THE RANDOM CARD DRAW IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THIS GAME AND MAKES THE GAME FAIR!!! BECAUSE THE ONLY THING YOU'RE DOING IS GIVING ME A GODDAMN MIGRAINE!!!

I've tried explaining logic to you, And I've tried reasoning with you, But no, you're still going to believe that the random card draw is important because you don't mind if you lose because of bad luck. Just go ahead and live in that world if you want to. BUT LEAVE ME OUT OF IT!!!

the thing is, some people do much better with random card draw. this is not to say that somehow picking the cards you draw makes you worse, but that the styles are different, and some people are just better at one than the other. some of the stuff you've been saying is just statistically bad luck, like when you compare the draw chances of specific cards, but most of the 'bad luck' people have is simply a poorly built deck. Bad luck does happen, but not as often as a bad build. If you have problems with drawing hands full of traps, use less traps. problem with all spells that can't be used? use less specific spells. I built a deck where the first duel I played with it I got nothing but monsters, so I adjusted it to have more spells and traps. next duel, I got all spells. I simply changed it again, and now it (almost) always runs fine. the problem with E-heroes is they need to have a bunch of cards dedicated to fusing stuff, which can't be used if you have nothing to fuse, and they need a bunch of fusion materials that aren't very useful without fusion cards, which pile together to make a large chance of not getting much useful.

The main thing I don't like about the current system is that it's all focused on traps, and drawing. everyone has a combo that they can kill with, it's just a matter of what cards you need to save for it, and how many you need to start with. That doesn't mean you're a good duelist. If you can pull together more traps than the opponent has cards, you just win. Even if the only monster on the field is Kuriboh, and you have no way of drawing more cards than your normal draw, you can still win just by using dust tornado, MST, magic drain, Bottomless trap hole, and nobleman of crossout, once they only have one card. it doesn't really matter how good you are of a duelist, if you can have whatever card you want, it's all about cheap (as in inexpensive) counters, drawing a bunch of cards, and decreasing how many cards you need for your win combo. With my Fables, I only need one card to summon Quasar, as long as that card is graceful charity, and I get tree face-downs out of it too, purely using the effects of unlimited monsters, and Allure, which can be replaced with a card destruction. it doesn't really matter how good of a duelist I am, only what combos I have pre-prepared.

Honestly, in my opinion, being a good duelist is about making combos with whatever you happen to get, and about engineering a deck that you can make combos with. for example, I made an Exodia deck, that works fairly well, and on average will give me Exodia by my third turn, but it isn't fun to play with, and the combos are so obvious you could hand it to anyone who understood the game, and they'd be able to win with it. On here, if I told someone all of my combos, told them some cards to watch out for, and some common counters, and told them to use the draw combos, then put down a lot of face-downs, and showed them what cards countered what, that person would likely win, maybe not as much as I would, but fairly often. You say that the lack of random card draw makes the best duelist win, but really, it lets the person with the best combos win. This is why when most people show up they lose a lot, then they quickly get better, because they start out with no combos, and then quickly make some up, after the few duels it takes to see what it's about.

bleh, I spent long enough saying that, I forgot what I was even trying to say.

edit: added some spacing, it used to all be one giant blob

Not this again...did I not end it on the last thread?...
    its really simple =/...
Random draw may be fair to some of you, yes, but the price you pay for random draw is...
you cant use blue eyes shining dragon 90% of all duels...and dark sage, which needs time wizards effect to be called right to special summon + need a dark magician on the field WITH the time wizard...
cards like Jar robber which only work if your opponent even has pot of greed in his or her deck cannot be used 90% of the time as well...
while in here with no random draw we can experiance the true extent of a card...the true potential a card has...
and yet you ARE facing against every card ever made and would probably be impossable to beat all of them with just 1 deck while if you make 1 deck in real life and play by random draw there is less chance of that happening and know that you are skilled...but the fun of new possibilities that awaits you in the future are endless...(cuz they always make new cards dont they?...)
there is no real answer to this argument, its all about how YOU feel about it! and if you would rather have random card draw why are you here? xD
    that is the question lol...

Edit: @ SirFred, I agree with you on the combo thing.
you cant expect to win against every deck in the world which can be used here. you can use every card they have ever made here making 1 deck not enough to be "skilled" here...
its all about the combos, or more importantly, how many types of decks you can master.
Jaden...you only use 1-2 types of decks and those are mostly going to be E-Heros...
all decks have their weaknesses, dont expect to win all your duels with JUST E-Heros...
it isnt how combos are "cheap", its what type of deck you use at the right duel against the right deck that matters...

its not always about how random card draw isnt "fair"...its the fun of not knowing the outcome that counts...
if we were to duel here you can tell when you lose or when you win...
kinda saying that in a way... no matter if your dueling with or without random draw, there will always be a setback xD
no matter how much you try to stop it, there will always be a time when that will happen...

not me im still trying to find that combo

i find both ways fun i like the random card draw because u always have to think of new things but i like this way cause its easier to execute plans cause you can pick what to draw next ... maybe i dig up some of my old cards cause im out of pratice

What did I JUST SAY? I swear, You people never listen to me...

I've been through enough of this crap in the videogames when I had to lose to ******ed AIs unfairly. I'm not going to risk losing to scrubs who run just about any kind of Deck too. I often don't draw well outside of the Arena. I admit that. In fact I already did admit it. But the Duel Arena helps give me some leg room to work with and helps even things out for me. I don't consider it fair to have to lose a Duel when just 1 draw could've saved me if I had gotten it. That makes me feel like I was cheated out of a win. And maybe there's also the fact that I think that it's MORE FUN to be able to always draw what I need so conveniently. Look, If I ever wanna test my luck against somebody then fine, Sure I'll play with the random card draw. Or better yet, I'll just go play a mindless card game like Poker or Go Fish. But the thing is I'd rather test my skills against somebody not my luck.
