Anyway, I'm sure you guys have heard of the new Xyz Monsters. I know you may have heard them called Exceeds but it turned out that was just a mistranslation by the fans. Also, in this case Xyz is pronounced "ik-seez".

Now then, I think I'll take this time to explain Exceeds to everyone. (Yeah I'm still just gonna call them Exceeds)

In order to Exceed Summon an Exceed Monster you take the required Exceed Materials face-up on your side of the field and stack them together. Then, the Exceed Monster is Exceed Summoned from your Extra Deck, and placed on top of the stack. Exceed Materials are not sent to the Graveyard. Instead, they are placed on the same Monster Card Zone beneath the Summoned Exceed Monster. You don't remove them unless the Exceed Monster dies or is removed from the field.

And before you ask these questions let me answer them:

1. The monsters used for the Exceed Summon do not take up the other monster zone slots.
2. Detaching an Exceed Material Monster means sending it to the graveyard.
3. Exceed Materials underneath Exceed Monsters do not count as monsters, so if Dimensional Fissure is on the field, detached Exceed Materials will be sent to the Graveyard. Exceed Materials are also treated as not being on the field, so effects like Sangan do not activate, and Plaguespreader Zombie will be sent to the Graveyard when detached even when it was Summoned with its own effect.

 

how are we supposed to play with Exeeds here?
it might get confusing when we post the whole field...
unless we just list them next to the card?...
