Trust me. It's there for a good reason. Because if everyone was allowed to just use whatever random cards they wanted without a real Deck planned with a real strategy it'd be frigging chaos!

 

Every kind of deck with tuners has Synchros on it those days Jaden, that really wouldn't be breaking the theme.
It's like Kuriboh in this place.

Maybe you didn't hear me earlier when I said this. Videogame Exclusives are the same thing as Anime Exclusives. They're merely the subtle less overpowered versions that were released in The Videogames as play-tests. So you have no reason to not say yes to them.

And No, The Wicked Gods don't count. Only Obelisk, Slifer and Ra count.

Jaden, you're being ridiculous. Synchros are the standard now. Plus, they go in the extra deck, not the actual deck. I could very well make a Yami Yugi deck and have a Stardust Dragon in the extra deck if i felt like it. It's a staple.

Yes, I am aware of that. But we're not doing things like that here. Konami apparently only wants to support 5D's. I want to support ALL 3 Animes. Keep in mind that back then Stardust Dragon didn't exist. And he didn't exist in the real game for awhile either. I have to make sure that everything is fair game and makes sense.

VGE's are often used by me. Some of them are an important part of my Theme. Like Philosopher's Stone - Sabatiel. I don't know if people think I'm referring to the stuff from Duelists of The Roses or what but I'm not. I'm only referring to the ones from Tag Force.

*sigh* Apparently I'll never be able to convince people of this...

So from now on I'm just going to merge The Video Game Exclusives used in Tag Force with The Anime Exclusive Term and remove them from the first page...

From now on Videogame Exclusives will only refer to things like what's in The other Videogames...can't think of any but hopefully people will get it now...

That's an interesting example because Yugi had no real Deck theme.
I mean: Dark Magician themed cards and Magnet Warriors in one Deck, with a handful of other combos that don't really fit in anywhere (Black Luster ritual, Baphomet + Gazelle, some random Fusions like Gaia The Dragon Champion). That's no Deck with a theme in my book. If he'd participate in this Arena he'd lose just about every duel by going against one deck theme.
So technically, by following your own rules, you shouldn't allow a Yami Yugi deck altogether.

Well, I don't agree with every decision he makes but I am grateful for his updating the Ban/Limited list among other things. He keeps track of things I just can't be bothered with.

 

Yeah but someone loosing cause they aren't sticking to a character theme by a single card is a bit of a weirdly strict rule. Wouldn't it be more fun without hefty limits like having to stick to a character or when we use a certain theme from an older generation of Yu-Gi-Oh with the odd card added it's an instant loss. It just seems a little unfair.

 

^I agree with this. Jaden, you're right about having a base theme so people don't pull cards from their asses, but making a person get a game loss from one single card that seems odd in a deck is something I find a little harsh, IMO.

Perhaps if we put a limit on it?

Why not make people have 3-5 fixed(so it won't be abused) cards out of their themes in their decks?

 

I was thinking more along the lines of updating the themes if they are from older generations like if your using an old Dragon Deck you'd slap in a Stardust Dragon or something to balance your chances of someone else's deck having a synchro.

 

I never said that people HAD to base their Deck around a character from The Anime...
