I'm...not as young as I used to be...

The youth and vigor I once had has greatly diminished...

I never thought this day would come...but my age is finally catching up with me...

My memory and skills as a Duelist have greatly slipped as well...

I'm not sure I can even remember how to use my Deck...

I may be retiring very soon now...

And No, This has nothing to do with any Arena Issues...

I would love to stay longer...especially with Ruon and her Alternate Accounts being gone...

I'm just saying that this old body has grown weary of Dueling...

But at least I can say that I've had a long and good career...

Let this battered warrior choose the time of his career's demise...

But before I go...I want my girlfriend to know I love her...

The Turbo Duel Arena!​

I got the idea after playing the new world championship game for the DS
Here are the rules

1: Each turn both players gain 1 speed counter unless card effects say otherwise
2: You may have a max of 12 speed counters
3: You may not use spells, but only speed spells. You can obtain pictures from WWW.YUGIOH.WIKIA.COM Or Google
4: A player loses a Speed Counter for every 1000 life points lost or by a card effect.
and the rest is the same as a normal duel.

What do you guys think?

 

Once again, I don't think you understand Zane...The last time when I wanted to quit was because I was fed up with all the issues The Duel Arena kept having...And because I thought I couldn't do anything without Card of Sanctity or Card of Demise. And because my heart was crushed because of losing Alexis...

But this time it has nothing to do with those things...It just has to do with the fact that I'm getting old and weak...

For awhile I was able to get my energy from caffeine...but then I had to stop because of all the hangovers I started having...

EDIT: There IS still hope however...

If I can find a good source of energy that can make me feel like my old self again,(or in this case my young self lol) then I'll come back.

Sorry, I beat you to the punch son. I already said a few pages back that I added Turbo Duels to The Arena. And I explained the rules too. You don't remember me saying that? Just use The Search Feature and you'll find where I said that.

Like I said, you hardly ever lose a duel. I don't you've lost even once in this new arena. So it's not like your skills have gotten all that rusty.
Also, to keep it fun, why not try a new deck out every once in a while? Fool around with the cards a bit. Might be fun.
That being said I can understand where you're coming from, and maybe a break wouldn't be a bad idea. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Say, How did you get so good so fast? You beat him on like your very first try...And he's one of The Duelists who I've worked so hard to defeat but failed miserably...

It was just a matter of stumbling on the right card by accident when sudying up really (the barrier statue). That, and I basically shoved a deck upon him that he didn't really want to use.
It was also fortunate that I got to go first. If he had gone first and swarmed on his first turn I'd probably summoned a Lava Golem on his side or something, which is a very risky move in any situation.

As a matter of fact, an execution of the initial idea was nowhere to be found. Because many Blackwings have the ability of manipulating monsters' attack and defense points I thought it might be wise to use FIRE monsters that rely more on Effect Damage instead. But as it turned out, I ended up relying on Battle Damage more than anything else anyway. XD

I do have a steep learning curve, but I didn't win on skill alone.

 

Well since my girlfriend apparently wants me to keep on Dueling I will!


Now that I know how the tournament is gonna work I think I'll participate after all!

Unfortunately...I haven't had the time to hone my skills with SAWC2009 or any of the other videogames...

I'm probably so rusty by now that I'll be horrible...:sweat:

Can somebody give me a warm up Duel?

 

I will, but it'll have to be done by the end of sunday. I have to keep my duels fast otherwise I'm unable to finish them. And I'm going back to my old deck, I've been trying to use different cards but I'm gonna stick with the ones I can use properly.

 

With Aster and Jaden having given their a-ok to participate, that makes 10 in total. Here's what I propose: we try to persuade Mixt and DeadHeart to participate as well. Then we have 12 contestants. We can hold preliminary rounds and semi-finals until 3 duelists remain. This is an unfortunate number, but maybe we should a mini-competition among those 3 finalists (A duels B, B duels C and C duels A).
This system is not waterproof, suppose A beats B, B beats C and C beats A, but it's the best I can come up with right now. Do you guys have any suggestions or advice?
