She'd gotten Faye's attention! She watched her friend give her a small wave and her face lighten up. She didn't, however, make a reply and Olivia found that acceptable -
she probably didn't want to get in trouble with the professor, and, in all truth, she didn't want to either. She supposed it could wait until after class was over, which should be soon, if her watch.

She gave a little wave back to Faye and returned her attention back to the professor, hoping that the girl would catch her message that it could (unfortunately, Olivia wasn't very patient when she was excited) wait until after class was over. Then they would meet up with Tybalt and finally head over to the library for some research. She was so excited!

"I guess we're early," Ben smiled at Rayna. The two had walked from their Transfigurations class to the library together. The library wasn't full of many people -- everyone must have been at the Great Hall, eating. Ben hadn't even thought about when they'd get their food. He wasn't incredibly hungry because he'd been able to munch on a chocolate frog in Transfigurations while Professor Fergison lectured before they practiced their spell for the day. Allowing food in his lesson was just one of the reasons Ben liked the professor.

    -------

Jack sat sideways at the Slytherin table in the Great Hall, his legs crossed on the bench and right elbow leaning on the table. In his right hand, he swirled a glass of pumpkin juice. He was still upset by the fact that he'd somehow managed to cause the Babbling Beverage to turn pink and bubble over his cauldron. And the Divinations exam hadn't been a walk in the Forbidden Forest either. Today was either going to get better or he was going to petrify some people tonight.

Taralynn was close to the library, her restricted section pass stuffed in the pocket of her skin-tight jeans, when she slowed her steps, seeing another group of students inside as well. Since it was lunch now, she did not expect to have any company, and was curious as to what the other students were after. Glancing over at some of them, she found herself grinding her teeth; several she did not care for, but instead of heading over to harass them, Taralynn steered clear and made her way as quietly as she could to the restricted section.

She opened the gate that blocked off these particular shelves of books from the others and shut it behind her. There was no way the creak of the old brass and very rarely used hinges could be hidden, so she knew her time was going to be short. Spells... she began in her head, narrowing down the search for exactly what books she needed. Offensive spells... banishing spells... Taralynn began to grab each book who's title looked like it could be helpful. As soon as she got as many as she could carry, she rounded the bend in the restricted section as far away from everyone else.

Normally it would take a witch or wizard days to search through so many books, but Taralynn knew a very handy spell her rich, Pureblood family had taught her. Not wanting anyone else to learn it, however, she had mastered being able to cast the spell without speaking it. After thinking the incantation, she immediately thought, desperately with her eyes shut: Ghost banishing spell... find me my ghost banishing spell...

The books began to open and slide around across the table top in front of Taralynn, but she paid them no mind, keeping her spell and goal clear in her head. A few minutes later, one of the old books lay in front of her, open to page 19. Taralynn tried not to cheer aloud as she pulled out her diary, unsealed it, and began to write down everything on the page, a smirk rising on her face.

Jacob gave a quick smile at the professor and left the classroom. He stretched and yawned, swinging the door to the library open. He looked around. There was that Ben kid. He raised an eyebrow. Was he just studying? Or had he wanted more with that Mandrake than he had said? He shrugged, waved at him, and returned to the section where he'd found the Chamber books before. "Ugh." he muttered. "There is literally nothing of use here." he turned his gaze to the Restricted Section. If only he had a pass. He sighed. He grabbed a few books and plopped down onto a bench. Spreading the books on the table and grabbing parchment and a quill, he began to take notes on anything he could discover. He glanced back at Ben.
Perhaps he was wrong in thinking there was nothing of use here.

Layla said a quick good bye to her teacher before leaving the class. For some reason she wasn't very hungry so she decided to go to the library. Maybe some of her friends would be there- and she could pick up a new book!
Perfect idea! she thought smiling to herself. She headed for the library where she saw Jacob, she boy from herboligy, as well as Ben and Rayna. She waved to Jacob, not very sure if he saw her, and walked over to Ben and Rayna.
    "Hey guys," she said smiling.

Taralynn was eager to get out of the library now that there seemed to be so many people coming into it. It's lunch time, guys, she thought exasperated. You'd think all these stupid first years would be stuffing their faces in the Great Hall, not meeting in the damn library... She gathered all her books she'd pulled down and quickly shoved them back in the places. Muttering the charm to seal her diary shut, she put it back in her bag and exited the restricted section.

Jack's going to be so proud! she thought excitedly as she made her way out of the library, throwing a dangerous look to any other student that dared look her way. I found two possible spells that could work on Peeves... and all I have to do is wait till the sun goes down to try them out...

Olivia had quickly made her way to the library after Herbology was over and lunch was starting. After class, she had gone to Faye and asked if she could meet her in the library as well if she wasn't interested in lunch. Hopefully Tybalt would be coming soon as well. Even
if they didn't, she was still curious to look on her own.

She wasn't going to be able to make it to Potions, not if she wanted to find things out. The teacher wouldn't even notice her gone - and she could go to the Hospital Wing and get a notice from there, then just change the times, I've never really done anything like this . . . I hope I get lucky. she thought, and was about to continue until she bumbed into someone.

It was a girl with blonde, shoulder-length hair and nearly black eyes. She was an older girl from Slytherin - a much older girl; Olivia whimpered slightly, "A-ah . . ." she began nervously, "I'm so sorry, excuse me . . ."

Juliet was hurrying back to the Gryffindor common room. She wasn't feeling hungry at the moment, and she wanted to make sure she had her books for her afternoon hours. While digging through her items, she also placed her newly transformed hair pins into a a cupboard. "I can't wait until tomorrow," Juliet muttered to herself as she looked for her books.

Tybalt was rushing out of his Herbology class. He ignored his hunger and hurried off to the library. He'd never been apart of a group, and he was usually too frightened to do something against the rules. All of that didn't matter though. He felt like his friends really trusted him and he wasn't going to let them go that easily. He made it to the library and found Olivia, who looked a bit scared. "Hey," Tybalt called out to his friend.

Taralynn stiffened from the impact, her hand instinctively going to her school bag to make sure whoever had run into her hadn't swiped anything. She glared down at the girl that had rudely halted her progress. She was about to say something extremely rude, just to see if she could make the girl cry, when she heard one of the girl's friends call out to her.

Taralynn swallowed her angry outburst and stopped her hand from reaching inside her robes for her wand. "Watch where you're walking," she managed to mutter before the other student came over.

On the inside, Olivia was terrified - the older girl looked like a force to be reckoned with, one Olivia didn't want to interact with at all.

"Hey," she heard from the side, and looking over, she caught sight of Tybalt.

"Watch where you're walking," the older girl in front of her muttered. Olivia was on the verge of tears when she nodded, "Y-yes . . . Sorry . . ." And she quickly got out of the way before anything else could happen. "Tybalt," she said in relief as soon as she was with him, "You made it," She looked over her shoulder at the older girl and quickly looked back at him, grabbing his hand, "Let's go," she said.

Jacob turned his head. Ah, Layla, that girl from Herbology. He gave a quick smile. As he flipped the pages of his current read, he sighed. Minutes later, he heard something happen. Turning around, he saw Olivia and another boy. He raised an eyebrow, as Olivia seemed a bit shaken. He frowned, but continued to flip through the book. "Nothing. Any information's gonna be somewhere else."he muttered, a little too loudly.

Taralynn began to make her way back to where she'd come from earlier; History of Magic was her next class and, this time around, she did not want to run all the way up to it this time. Smives would not mind if she did not completely pay attention during the period, and Taralynn intended not to; she needed to study and memorize all of the details she'd copied out of the book she'd just found. As usual, it wasn't enough to just know the incantation, especially for a spell so intense as could banish a ghost: one had to actually mean it.

As Taralynn headed out of the library, she glanced around at the other students that still remained; she noticed that each of them were studying rather hard, but none of the books looked like the usual titles that teachers would assign... What could these kids be focusing on so much to make them give up their entire lunch period? And then it hit her: people were catching on. They were suspicious and curious, trying to figure things out that they shouldn't be messing with.

Taralynn clenched her hands into fists as she walked, anger flushing her cheeks. She had to tell Jack as soon as their next class started, so he knew what was happening.

Faye was at the library, silently reading off many books. She sat on the wooden floor, legs crossed with her back leaning on one of the book shelves. Her fingers fiddled with the corners of the pages on the book she was currently reading. It was a reference book on the History of Magic - much like her own sitting beside her but with a little more detail. History of Magic was her previous class. She quickly ran out of there once Lunch period arrived and made her way into the Library. There she quickly stacked numerous books then found her own spot between many book shelves. She wasn't sure if Olivia and the others were still going but her hunger didn't stop her from not going to the library herself. Even if just for that one lunch period, she could learn off from at least a couple of chapters then it would be okay. She wasn't planning to miss her next class, Flying, anyway.
Just then, she heard very familiar voices coming from somewhere near the entrance of the Library. She shut the book in her hands, got to her feet and quickly took behind a book shelf. Her fingers held the edges of this as she cautiously took a peek. Her eyes lightened up when she saw Olivia and the boys they were with earlier. Faye immediately ran back to her pile of books and stacked them up. She took a deep breath before carrying everything. Man, was it a lot to carry but she still did. She rested her chin on the book that sat on top of her pile, which was her own History of Magic book then made her way to Olivia and the others. Once the distance between them wasn't too much, she gave them a smile and said a simple,
    ”Hey.”

Rayna's eyes were--as usual, panning and darting around the library as she took in it's splendor. She merely nodded, and squeaked something incomprehensible in Ben's direction when he spoke to her. But this absent-minded behavior only lasted a moment, before she came back to Earth. There were others now, crowded around them, and Rayna felt her cheeks start to burn. She was shy enough as it was, making herself look like a fool was not getting her anywhere, obviously. She lifted a hand with a small wave to the others, "Hello!~"

Ben grinned as his friends started to gather around. Some their lunch hour had passed already but if they didn't find what they were looking for now, they could try again after classes. "Alright! We've only got one hour so I think we should split up so we can get more books."

Silea walked into the library and noticed Ben and the others looking over a few books. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late. Got side-tracked with some stuff. Have we found anything of interest?"

Feeling unnoticed, though she knew there was a task at hand, she went quiet and instead found her fingers flipping and thrumming through the thick pages of the books before her. She had already looked through these, but at least this would keep her busy and distracted. She yawned, perking an eyebrow at Layla's suggestion and shrinking further into her chair. Her feet swung gently under the table, eyes cast down awkwardly.

Faye stood quietly as she tightly gripped the last book in her pile from falling. There were so many of them in the library now, all worked for probably the same thing. Part of it kind of scared her, as she wasn't really one much to talk. However, she was very eager to learn a lot so she knew she had to push the shyness away.
The shyness did slap her back on her face when a girl suggested they work in pairs. Pairs. Olivia was probably going to go with Tybalt and well, she never really knew anyone else. If only Jack was here. Then maybe, she'd go with him. If he didn't mind of course. He probably wouldn't, a nice guy like that. However, he was not here. And so quickly her eyes traveled through the room, trying to see if a familiar face - or any face would look to her direction and offer to work as a team. Of course, this was just a suggestion. No one officially declared anything, but Faye did not want to be that girl in the big group of curious kids who sat there gathering information being lonely. That would mean rejection, and man did she not want that.
Finally, she locked onto the sight of a girl she hadn't noticed earlier. She had white hair and amazing looking eyes - purplish, maybe. Now, she kind of did reflect just what Faye had been worrying of. She took a breath and headed for the table where this girl was. Faye's arms just began to give in to the weight of the books she carried once she reached the girl. She gave her a smile.
”I'm Faye, first year Slytherin.” she introduced herself in a sweet voice but that's all what she rehearsed. So she swore to herself to try and find a book on socializing after saying, "Th-These books are pretty good. I've been reading a few. They... uh... well, wha-what's your name?"

Jay had grabbed a ham sandwich from the great hall for lunch and wandered into the library, expecting it to be empty so he could flip through some potions books to explore how magic trasfered to potions. He wanted to experiement a bit with the idea of making a "potion" without magic. While biting into his lunch, keeping an eye out for the librarian and her lack of empathy for hungry readers, and running a long finger over the titles of potions books he noticed various students doing their own research. Standing still and chewing, that long finger resting on a random book, he eyed the group. He grabbed a book labled "chicken soup for the poitions master"--an attempt to paradoy a muggle series--and walked over to see what they were doing.
"'ey kiddos, what's shakin'?" he asked the group at large, taking another large bite.
