Anyone else wonder why there is a truck wreck next to the skyscraper?

Story wise, I don't have an answer for you. A mystery of the series.

Game play wise, it was probably there to show there was more to the city with another road, but to keep you from going in that direction there was a truck placed there.

Actually, I always wondered about the truck too, but I suppose it's just there just to be there. Like Xion.

I never really paid much attention to it. It probably is there just to keep you on the right track and serve as a road block, but who knows why they used a truck.

I never payed attention to see there was a road behind the truck. But I figure it was just put there because they wanted to.

In fact, it makes you wonder whether the whole Dark City was once populated? A truck needs a driver, after all. They probably all became Heartless though.

But seriously speaking, it was probably put there for the sake of effect, and to cut off a road in the city so that there wasn't just some random open path that couldn't be traveled (probably because they would have been compeled to actually put something that way). I think they should have done some sort of easter egg with it though.

I was actually a little too excited by the truck than I probably should have. It was kind of a "woah they have eighteen wheelers in Kingdom Hearts land too!" sort of moment.

But yeah, it seemed to be more of a convenient barrier to keep you from going into all ends of the city. Much better than an invisible wall, I think.

I think it has something to do with the whole Dark City being populated once. If you were to jump around the truck, you would see a pathway, but if the developers really wanted you to not go that way, they would have just made a dead end or some kind of alley that stops you from going any longer. It's not like it will take up a lot of space or time making it. Using a truck seems too suspicious.

I would say it's something to look forward to in the future, but that world is gone now. But now that I think about it, how is it that TWTNW seems like the most advanced world so far?

I always wandered this. Nobodies inhabit TWTNW and they use Corridors of darkness to travel around so they would have no need for a truck. It's there as an obstacle but why they used a truck I don't know, maybe they just wanted to give it more of a human feel- I don't know why they would (maybe to show us that nobodies are still partially human or something). I don't see why they didn't just use a broken off part of building or something -.-

Man. The Nobodies would never use a truck, in my opinion.

I think Mickey may have been DUI.

In seriousness, I agree with Ienzo. Nobodies are still partially human, so what if one of Organization XIII members whose past we don't know (Demyx?) could have, you know, driven trucks. And like all Nobodies, they want to be whole- so what if they tried to redo their past?

I never even noticed it, since now that I've browsed around for a bit. It could relate to being something more, but I doubt this has a connection towards anything

There's a probably a history to the place they are in. Maybe it wasn't always there and was maybe in the realm of light. Maybe it's our world and something bad happened to it.

To be honest, until this was created, I never noticed it, but I took a look a few days ago and noticed it myself.

Maybe it was supposed to be the some area that the developers decided to scrap?

Semi-off-topic, but in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, there is an unreachable island in the last home world, Midnight Mountain that was supposed to have use, but ended up being irrelevant.

That truck isn't of much importance at all. I think it is merely a prop for display, that way the city does have some character to it.

There is a road down there, or i should say an alley. But chances are there isn't anything of importance down it.

I actually didn't recognize it in KHII. It wasn't until the Riku battle at the end of Days that i noticed it. (Due to constant battle replaying)
