"We could just go to another town." Becka said to Lanan.

OOC: where is your character Mr. Pezz?

 

OOC: In the town He was the one who warned the people that this was how the Lizards declared war, and he told them to fallback.

 

OOC: Let me help you out, Pezz!

BIC:"Just a minute," Lanan told her. He wasn't even sure how far away the next town was... He continued to walk around for a couple of minutes, watching the crowd in it's chaos. He had no desire to help them evacuate. After all, hadn't he helped enough? It took him awhile to realize there was a lingering smell in the ear...it was familiar, but he couldn't remember where he's smelled it before. All he knew was he didn't like it.

He looked around the crowd and recognized a face. He started walking quickly towards that person while yelling, "Hey, human! Human! SHAPER!"

 

Becka followed close to Lanan not really wanting to leave him.

OOC: i gotta go for tonight

 

Tristan was overseeing the evacuation as he heard someone call out the word 'SHAPER'. Tristan turning around to find where the voice came from and then frowned. Another crossbreed? Do I know him? "Yes?" Tristan asked questioningly.

OOC: K, night, see ya later!

 

"You're the Shaper from last night, I fought Lizards at the same battle as you. In fact, you'd probably be dead if it wasn't for me!" Lanan said with cockiness in his voice.
"My name is Lanan. I'm a Crossbreed between a Wolf and a Cylian...", Lanan wasn't sure where he was going with this.
"Well, because of my Cylian heritage, I've lived quite some time and I've met a Shaper before. Long before you were born. I"m sorry, there's no point to this conversation. I was just amazed to see a Shaper here in this little town." Lanan didn't even look at Becka while he talked.

 

Tristan's eyes widened in surprise. "You were the one who saved my life? Well thanks, but I thought wolves dislike humans. Your half Cylian too? When and where was the last time you saw a Shaper?"

 

"Not all those from the Wolf Clan dislike humans. Besides, you blame that on your kind's hunting habits." Lanan said with a snarl.
"And I'm not in any particular pack, I travel alone...usually." Lanan looked at Becka as he said this.
"Anyway, my father was a Cylian. When I was still a pup...er.. I mean child, My father and I came across a traveling Shaper. His powers amused me, as they would any child. But he must be dead now, it was a long time ago, longer than a human lifetime".

 

"I see..." Tristan muttered. Tristan looked back up at Lanan and smiled sadly while holding out his hand to shake. "Well I thank you for saving me, though you didn't save much. My name Is Tristan Al- Tristan Almon, And I apologize for my kind's behavior. Most humans fear The Wolf clan as they do Wolves. Some humans even believe that the Wolf clan can control the wolves that hunt down their livestock. Though I have traveled the lands and know that not to be true. So what brings you here?"

 

"I've always laughed at that theory!" Lanan said with a smile, "The more mature members of the Wolf Clans can communicate with wolves, but only through emotions. We can't control them. Of course, since Cylians can communicate with nature, I have a deeper...connection to wolves."

"But anyways, Tristan, was it? I've been traveling for quite a while and ended up helping a farmer who was having trouble with Lizards. Then I stumbled upon your battle. During the battles, I finally ran out of bolts. I came here to Triwn to load up on supplies, but, as it turns out, there's no merchant who can supply me..."

 

Eleanor turned from the mayor and walked back to toward the inn, running her hands through her silver hair. She'd earned fifty gold peices for the work she'd done last night, and had a mind for a drink and a hot meal, despite all the people that seemed to rapidly be leaving the city.

My money's still good here, she thought, entering the inn. I'm sure there's enough people here to get me some food.

 

Aduial took Adiou by the elbow and started to lead him through the crowd.

"Wait," Aidou spoke up suddenly. He listened to the voices of the crowd and picked out the ones that he was familiar with. One was the voice that was instructing the crowd earlier, and the other was from the previous night's battle. "Interested in meeting people?"

"Not really," Adiual answered. "But if you think they'll be useful, then tell me where they are."

"They could be," Aidou replied matter-of-factly. "One has a way with words, and the other is - from what we've seen - a good fighter."

OOC: Softball is fun. XD Even if the team I was rooting for go whopped. ><

 

"You need Bolts, huh? About what size, shape and thickness."

 

"I don't think we should intrude if they're in a conversation," Aduial said.

Aidou rolled his blinded eyes. "That doesn't really matter. But if it bothers you so much, we can wait."

 

This human is quite easy to get along with, Lanan thought.
He showed Tristan his crossbow and replied, "Just standard bolts."
There's that smell! he thought to himself, wiggling his nose. His eyes dashed side-to-side and he quickly noticed the Cylian and her companion from yesterday.
It sounds like they don't want to intrude... Lanan heard thanks to his hearing. He pretended not to notice them watching him and continued talking to the human soldier.

 

"hmm...." Tristan snatched his hand out into the air and grabbed hold of a nearby flow of Lineve. He then ripped some Lineve from the flow and Shaped it into a bolt. Tristan examined it before throwing it off to the side and into the ground. It blew a hole into the ground on impact. Tristan smiled and nodded before rapidly ripping out some more flows. By the time he finish, he had a couple dozen Shaped bolts floating in the air.
He then looked back at Lanan. "Be careful with these. I've ripped these Lineve bolts from their flows, so they will keep their shape. This is a dangerous form of Shaping. As I just demonstrated, if they hit something, or if something hits them, with enough force, then they will lose their shape and blow any nearby objects to bits. Don't let that be you."

 

Lanan was shocked. Both at the bolts the Shaper gave him and at his generosity. Humans really aren't that bad, he thought while saying to Tristan, "I didn't know Shapers could do that! Thank you so much, these will definitely help!"
Lanan didn't bother trying to pay for them, he knew that the Shaper would be too kind to accept payment, after all, Lanan had saved his life....and Lanan prefered to keep any money he could.
He rushed to put the bolts in his quiver, but then decided it'd be safer not to rush while handling these explosive bolts.
He patted Tristan's shoulder, something that would seem like an act of friendship to someone staring from a distance. He then whispered, "I don't want to alarm you, but we're being watched."

 

Tristan smiled. "Was that why your ear twitched? Thanks Lanan, I hope we meet again."

 

"They're whispering to each other. Can you hear them?" Aduial asked.

"Yeah," Aidou answered. "Seems they don't like the company. Let's go. We can find someone else that's useful." Without giving time for Aduial to protest, Aidou turned around and began to walk away.

Aduial followed with a glance over her shoulder. She supposed it was for the best. She knew that Aidou didn't like company that much either.

 

"Same here, Shaper," Lanan said with a smile, "Thanks again for the bolts." He then turned around, parted from his new friend, and started walking down the road with his companion.
Most of the town's civilians were inside their houses, gathering their belongings.
He noticed the Cylian and her bad-smelling friend were walking in a different direction.
Why do I have the feeling I'll run into those two again? Lanan thought to himself
