Tristan nodded and grabbed his clothes. He walked off into the distance where it was too dark to see anything and began to change. He changed slowly so as to not irritate his wounds. when he was done he took some hair dye and used it. His hair took a shade of blond. Wrapping his new cloak around him, he nodded to Lanan. Now all they needed was for the summons to return.

 

Eleanor frowned at the clothes and the hair dye. "Is this really necessary?" she sighed. "I'm very happy with my silver hair, thank you."

 

Lanan smiled and walked past Eleanor, pinching her butt and winking as he passed her. "I hope you don't mind, Tristan, I used some gold on a new dagger and an extra one for you sister, in case she needs it," he said as he threw the almost empty bag at Tristan.

 

Eleanor jumped swore under her breath, clenching her fists.

"You spent all our money already?" she growled.

Slightly disappointed she didn't get a chance to crush Ekaf's head, Ruby's clenched her fist, imagining Ekaf's skull was still between her fingers. "Let'sss take her with uss then," She told Naserrea as her tail shrunk. Within a matter of a seconds, she was back to her pale, blue haired human form with her silky, scale patterned pants. She left the secluded area and headed towards the sewers.

"What I am, young one," Ras'tepa started, "is none of your concern. You think I'm bad? I'm evil? No, I'm not. I'm one of the good guys," He said sternly, an idea forming in his head.

The corners of Azazel's mouth twitched as a smile almost formed. Of course, the smile never came. "Do what you will, but you need to make up for this. Ekaf will put a dent in our plans," he spit, turning back to face the capital. He could still sense the opposing energy. He doubted Alira could sense it. She was a Devil, but not as powerful as he.

Lanan opened his cloak, revealing the two daggers. Pulling the small one from his belt, he threw it in the air, catching it by the blade. "I figured the Princess might need another weapon. If not, I'm sure we can find some use for this one, but we all need to be armed appropriately for this." He raised his left hand, showing the gauntlet with his crossbow. "This is great for combat, both close and long range, but I needed something more effective, so I bought my own dagger. I may have wasted money, but it's not that hard to gain more. I have experience thieving as well, I just figured the Prince would have more money, and if not," Lanan shrugged, "Like I said, I have experience as thief."

 

Eleanor rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, muttering something about liking to earn her money honestly most of the time.

 

What a nasty little mutt that half breed is. Tristan's eyes widened. it was the voice. Maybe we should........... kill him.
Fear began to flood into Tristan's heart. His hand raised on it's own accord. His fear only turned to terror as he felt himself begin to grab hold of Lineve flows. Tristan tried to open his mouth to warn everyone, but his body wouldn't respond.
Ahhhhhhh....... This feeling....... It's been too long. A wall of lineve Rammed Lanan against a wall. A blade of lineve formed in each of Tristan's hands. He watched in horror as his body began to rush at Lanan. He was about to strike him down!
Stop it, stop it, stop it! The voice merely laughed at Tristan's pleads. His right hand raised in the air. He was about to strike. No he won't let this happen!
"STOP IT!!!!!!!!" Tristan yelled at the top of his lungs as he put all his effort into controlling his body. Tristan stopped the attack in mid swing. He was just inches from hitting Lanan. He had regained control.
Tristan fell to his knees while, at the same time, releasing his hold on the lineve flows. He grabbed his forehead with his left hand.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"
Troublesome boy. you will succumb to me.
"I said GET OUT!"
Everyone you care for will die. said the voice as it faded from Tristan's mind.

 

Gemini gasped and took quick steps to be in front of Lanan, without thinking. "What's wrong with you?!" she demanded as her ears layed flat back.

 

The breath knocked out of him, Lanan watched Tristan, so surprised his usually fast reflexes weren't working. When Tristan started yelling, Lanan scowled and growled as his hands flexed. "What is going on with you?"

 

Eleanor drew both her blades in an instant. Before she knew what she'd done, she was standing over Tristan with the tips of her daggers at his throat.

"Now," she began in a low growl, "before anyone else here loses control, you better tell us what the hell is going on in your head."

 

A cold breeze flew through the sewers. "You better have a good reason to be threatening my master." Nas said coldly as she dragged the fake into the sewers. She still may have been angry at Tristan, but duty was duty.

 

Eleanor frowned and stepped back from Tristan slightly, lowering her blades. "I think that's something we all want to know," she replied to no one in particular. "Tristan is obviously having some issues and we all deserve and explanation if he wants us to listen to anything he says."

 

Tristan frowned as he glance at Nas. At least she was back. He then looked back at the others and sighed. "Just now, I heard a voice in my head. It told me to kill Lanan, and then my body started moving on its own. What scares me is that it was able to grab hold of the Lineve flows through me.

 

Ruby was by Lanan's side in an instant. His growling stopped the moment she appeared, but he was still tense. "Are you alright, Master Luna?" She asked. Her body was slightly tilted so she was standing between him and Tristan, but not blocking his view.

Lanan nodded, his eyes on Tristan. Having Ruby nearby calmed him a little. "A voice?" Lanan's first thought was that Tristan had gone mental. He was schizophrenic. Maybe all this stress finally broke him...

 

"Nas, are there any demons who can take control of your body?"

Nas nodded slowly. "Yes...." she said.

"Then perhaps-"

"However," Nas interrupted, "You wouldn't be able to regain control if that was the case. You would be their slave until they found you of no more use."

Tristan was silent for a moment. "Nas, Rubira...... who is this you brought with you?"

 

Now he believes in Demons? Lanan was getting more suspicious of Tristan by the minute.
He then followed his gaze to what they brought.

Ruby became slightly giddy. "It's Ekaf, Master Luna! The fake!"

Lanan's jaw dropped. "Alira's Summon?"

 

Tristan cocked an eyebrow. "Alira? wasn't she the one who attacked you? What's she doing still alive, then?"

 

Lanan scowled at Tristan. "What do you mean what's she doing alive?" He asked, irritated. "You expected me to kill a Demon by myself? Ruby may have had a chance, but it was a DEMON and her SUMMON against my Summon and me, a mere Fairrel."

 

"What I'm saying is, If she's our enemy, then why did they bring her here? wouldn't it be best for us to dispose of her after what you told me?"
