The World Ends with You

Danael was almost taken aback by Yukio's sudden inquiry, but answered nonetheless.
"I was shot. By some gangsters," Danael answered. And look where that got her, he added bitterly, in his mind.
"How does that relate to anything, though?"

 

Yukio shook his head. "Merely intersted. But I'm glad you died. Otherwise I wouldn't have such a good partner."

 

By 'good', does he mean, 'willing to follow him around everywhere'? We've only known each other for all of... half an hour. Danael thought.
"Thanks, I guess," he spoke, ruffling his hair a little bit, "but what about you? How did you end up here?"

 

Yukio smirked, looking back at him. "Not telling. Hee hee hee." He carried on walking, not minding if Daneal was following him or not.

 

"Okay, fine then. Whatever you're doing better not get in the way of our... success in the game." Yukio was just screwing with him now. They obviously had separate goals.... How could he trust someone like that? The only thing he had to rely on was the fact that if one of them di-- was erased, then they both were. Nevertheless, he kept walking along.

 

Yukio stopped suddenly, looking up at a building. "Its reacting. But this isn't much what I'm looking for..."

 

"Isn't this what, I dunno, Google is for?" the raven-haired boy inquired, though not seriously. Maybe the other boy's response would give him a hint as to what he was searching so hard for. Probably not.

 

"Google is a data based system that exists in cyberspace. We have no computer access PLUS it won't be on there." Yukio replied, walking along again.

 

"...Right." It could never be that easy.
"I'mma go out on a limb here and assume that you can't tell me what you're looking for, either," Danael spoke, trailing along... again.

Rhyme looked down from the building at them. Why is that boy looking and not bothering about missions? She frowned.
Yukio frowned, looking at Rhyme. "We got a Reaper looking at us."

 

Jack tried to contain his fright inside himself as Lelouch appeared.
Calm down. They can't hurt you yet.
"One question. Why do you like messing with us anyways?"

 

Danael looked in the direction his partner was to see that there was indeed a Reaper there.
"They can't attack us until the last day," he spoke, so what is she doing there?
He was still ready for a fight; after all, who knew what the reapers could have up their sleeves?

On a different note,how did Yukio know she was there? The raven-haired boy glanced in the direction of his partner for a fragment of a second before focusing on the reaper once again.

 

"What!?" Micheal looked over at her. "Damn it! We had plenty of time left!"

 

Rhian looked at Micheal. "We haven't been erased. And the timer went before it reached zero. Its okay, I think we don't have to carry on with the mission."

Lelouch smirked. "Just because I can't touch you, it doesn't mean the Noise that I summon can't. Play that and you won't be erased."

Yukio watched Rhyme. "I thought your boundaries were from Route 5 to 7."
Rhyme smirked. "Oh, I can wander when the missions you brats have to do are finished."
"Really now? I thought Reapers were on scrict orders. Anyway Rhyme, just a little hint."
Rhyme raised an eyebrow.
"Work hard but not too hard. The Composer likes that."

 

Yukio and Rhyme were speaking almost as though they knew each other. Danael definitely couldn't trust him; at least not until some questions were answered... truthfully. And so far, the probability of that was close to nothing.

 

"Doesn't seem like you answered my question..." Jack responded.
ooc: I thought of the 'they cant touch us' thing, not say it out loud.

"I don't take help from brats." Rhyme frowned and clicked her fingers. Noise appeared all around them.
Yukio sighed, shrugging.

Lelouch smirked. "Its my JOB."

 

"That seems nice. So how do you become a reaper in the first place? Are you just chosen for the job or is it inheritance?" Daisuke asked.

 

Lelouch smirked, laughing slightly. "Killing people, robbing them of their lives then to damn them again in the Reaper's Game." He had a small psychotic look on his face. "I chose to. While I played, I had the urdge to get rid of everyone against me. I killed my own partner and attacked other players."
