i think this is the saddest song i know. the process of watching a significant other die from the initial accident to dying in the hospital room all while telling yourself it will be fine when you know that's not true and then thinking back to times you spent together is one of the most intensely real things i've ever heard in a song. their raw sound amplifies everything that makes this song work. **** i can't listen to this and not get all teary eyed.
