Xadan took off the shield when he saw energy balls flying out of nowhere, and realised it wasnt' the real Alana.

 

Alana started to choke loudly, she was right next to Xadan, she fell to her knees

 

"wait I think there where people back there"Enerek said "maybe they can tell me where i am"

 

Xadan saw her fall down, and felt anger well up inside him. As quick as a flash, he swung his swords so they cut through his, then cut through Alana's ropes.
