The war of Humans and Elves.

Nox sat paitenly waiting to hear about the job.
'As you know due northwest of here is the Elve's easturn capitol. Well The Darkran armies are ready for anouther mass invashon of the elves,' the lord said.
Nox was shocked it was to soon what has his father done.
'A new wepon and units will be revealed in this battle but I've heard good things about you Nox. I want you to fight on the frount lines,' the man fished.
Nox wanted to say no he never fought in conquest battles. He'd only work defense. But he had to accept something made him say the thing that he knew he'd regret, ' I'll do it but it won't be cheap.'

 

Slipping into an alleyway, she turned her head, letting her hair cascade down her face and hide it as a guy passed her by. He had a different gait as well, a kind of feline grace that belonged only to the elves, as far as she knew. She gently grabbed onto the wall, and began to find hand holds in the hard clay, climbing up. Someone knew about her, even here. Was there nowhere she could escape from?

 

"I'm willing to pay anything," Lord Barsoul said.
"Good I'll give you my price after the battle. I'm staying in the inn at the corner of 4th. Send me word when I need to leave," Nox said. He left without changeing expression. Why the hell did I just do that?

 

Sitting on the roof, Eva let the sun warm her face. She even managed a smile as she looked up into it, her eyes a rare shade of perfect diamond. She closed them, then opened again, having them return to their normal shade. She didn't need someone looking over at her and seeing a girl with sparkling eyes. That was all she needed, more attention. Standing up slowly, she jumped to the next roof, and crouched, listening. No one had heard her, and she smiled. She jumped to the next roof, and so on, heading back for the inn.

 

Nox walked through the streets. He was panicing. Why did I agree to that I have to call it off I can't do it. But I have to. Why do I have to? What the hell is wrong with me?

 

Slowly slipping into the room, Eva tied her dark hair back and looked around the room. Nox hadn't been back yet, apparently. She gently undid her arm sheaths and sighed as they dropped to the bed. It was stressful, wearing them. She needed to get better ones soon. They were falling apart.

 

Nox walked into the inn confused and afraid. He walked up the steps slowly he was numb to the world right now. He was battling himself in his mind and was confused about why he was fighting himself in the first place.

 

Eva quickly ducked back out the window and crawled up to the roof, intending to soak up the sun again. She wanted as much of it as she could get before going back to the woods and hiding again. Smiling a little, she lay on the roof, letting her eyes soak in the glare.

 

Nox looked at the bed and saw the knife sheths. He drew his wand. First he accepts a job he doesn't want and now there was probly an assain in his room.

 

Eva stretched lazily, letting her eyes open and close naturally. She put her arms above her head and relaxed, letting her mind wander. How much longer did she or Nadia have? Mostly likely she would be put to death if captured, so that wasn't an option. Still, what could they want from Nadia...

 

Nox walked slowly to the window. He was afraid of himself mainly but the assain wasn't helping. He opened up the window.

 

Eva poked her head down when the window opened, into the face of someone she recognized. "Hello." she murmured, sleepy and semi slow by the sun. It was a nice feeling, much like being drunk.

 

Nox let out a sigh, 'oh good it's just you. I was... worried for a moment.'
Nox was beyond worry he was painicing.

 

Eva tilted her head, her hair floating in midair upside down. "You look kinda funny, everything okay?" she let herself slide down, grabbed the sill, then pulled herself up into the room. "It's a gorgeous day. I've missed the sun. So what's up?"

 

Nox put his wand away, 'yeah I have a pretty big problem.'

 

She tilted her head, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "So spill. What happened to make you all vampire like?" she asked, the wind stirring her hair gently, making it brush in front of her face. She brushed it aside impatiently.

 

Nox sat on the bed, "I just agreed to help with an attack on the elves east capital city. And I don't know why I don't want to do it. But I have to but I don't want to... What the hell is wrong with me."

 

Eva rolled her eyes, tapping her foot. "Maybe you're trying to be a decent human. Because you know I can't in good conscience allow an attack. I would have to stop you, or die trying."

 

"I don't want to do this Eva," Nox said, "and I have to. I don't want to hurt you."

 

She smiled a little, lowering her arms and stopping the foot tapping. "Then you have a choice. I'm going to fight with Nadia, until we either win or die. Capture isn't an option for the elves and you should know it. I'll give you till tonight, okay?"
