OC: time skip... oh yeah and I'm back

Nox woke up with a long and loud yawn. He looked over at Eva's bed to see if she was awake.

 

Eva was watching him, her eyes intense. "Morning." she murmured with a small smile. "I couldn't sleep very well."

 

"Oh why's that," Nox said sitting upright in his bed, "do I snore?"

 

She shook her head, still watching him as she stayed laying down. "I just coudlnt' sleep." she murmured, then smiled. "It wasn't because of you."

 

"Then why if not me," Nox asked, "Do you need something to help you sleep."

 

She shook her head, her eyes taking on a distant look. "I.....I have always had a hard time." she murmured. "It's best just to leave such things alone."

 

"Sleep is kinda important dear," Nox said smileing. He got up out of bed and streched, "So breakfast?"

 

She smiled, sitting up a little. "To you." she retorted, then smiled a little. "Can't, I have to go meet Nadia. She wants to discuss some tatics then she's leaving for the capital." Her mind whirled as she sat up, brushing her hair quickly and efficiently. "She's petitioning."

 

"She can't leave she has to stay with me," Nox said, "I hate to say it but she... does belong to me... technacly."

 

She sighed, tying her hair back quickly. "That's why she hates you, and me, so much." She smiled tightly, going to the drawer beside the bed and slipping her knives into their arm and leg sheaths. "Because of this."

 

"When did she start hateing you," Nox asked.

 

Eva looked up back at him, finishing up with her knives. "When I was born." she finally said, standing up. "In any case, I have to go meet her. You can come, but she'll kill you anyway."

 

"Go ahead just when you guys are done meet me at the Lion's Pride in south of here," Nox said, "Can we meet their after everyone is done?"

 

She nodded, then smiled, patting his cheek gently. "I'll be there before you know it." she murmured, before heading out the door, then getting onto the roof, and started running along them to the edge of town. She could sense Nadia there, and smiled.

 

Nox walked off into the crowds going to look for work.

 

Hugging Nadia tightly, they conferred in whispers, afraid of spies even here. "I should stay with him." Eva swung her legs back and forth. "We can use him a little more." She looked up, met Nadia's gaze with one of her own, then smiled. "No worries. We'll be back home before you know it, and your mother can wrangle a pardon out for me."

 

Nox found Lord Barsoul. He was a tall strong man dressed in armor. He looked down at nox with a wide smile.
Nox stood looking nornal. To Nox this man was a clinet nothing more, 'so tell me what is it you want.'

 

After saying goodbye to Nadia, Eva stepped back into the city, letting it envelope her. The noises, the people. It was all so much, but she kept her head. Her bright eyes scanned the street for potential dangers and she walked catlike, keeping tensed. Her mother had always said that she walked like a cat, and with her hair looked like a panther. Maybe she was right.
