The war of Humans and Elves.

"Hmph... not what I heard," she frowned.

 

OOC: Merlok just said he wished he knew someone who liked him like that.

"You don't even know who I am." he said. "Don't just us all by the acts of one."

 

Eva smiled gently. "You'll find someone. I promise."

 

"I hope so." he said, sighing.

 

She chuckled, sarcastically.
"It's exactly what i think. Why would an elf be kind to a human? Why wouldn't they do anything?" she asked, pressuring questions.
"I've seen your kind... I've been hurt by your kind. I'm not trusting you, or any of you..." she sneered.

 

"Not all of us hate humans. I'm not asking for trust, I just want you to understand that I'm not like you think I am." he said.

 

Eva smiled, lying down again. "Just keep hoping."

 

He lay down beside her. He wished he could tell her that he hoped she liked him like that, but didn't want to ruin their friendship. He hoped she didn't try looking into his mind.

 

"I don't think so..." she said frowning.

 

Eva smiled happily, then closed her eyes, humming a slow song.

 

"And why not?" he asked.

He closed his eyes and listened.

 

Eva started singing, the way her mother used to. She stopped halfway through the song, trying to remmeber.

 

She shuddered.
"I'm not very comfortable with explaining this, but I feel you'll understand my situation better... When i was about... six years old, elves came into our home on the border of the forest and city. They took my older brother, and myself... They took us to this camp, where we had to work as slaves. My brother died 3 weeks ago and I'm all alone. I escaped just a few days ago..." she explained.

 

He listened, his eyes still closed.

"Oh wow. I'm so sorry." he said. "If you need to, you can hide out here as long as nessicary. I'll get whatever you need."

 

"I can't remember anymore." She said sadly.

 

"That's a shame." he said.

 

Eva smiled slightly. "My mother....she taught me so much...but I forget it all, slowly."

 

"That's sad." he said.

 

Eva nodded, quietly looking at the ground. She already couldn't remember the name, or the face....I guess everything disappears into darkness in the end.

 

He started to cry, unable to remember anything about his mother.
