Eva looked up. "I shouldn't even be surprised. Yeah, I'm done. For now." She sighed, rubbing her ankles.

 

"It's fine." he said.

"You know, it's very rude to spy on others." he said, his hand on his katana.

 

Ireth still had the nagging feeling that she was being followed. She kept right on walking, marching past people. If he's still following, I might give him a peice of my mind! Or my staff... She glanced down at it while walking. Huh... that's not such a bad idea...

 

Eva felt her heartbeat speed up. "Wait!" She got up and ran after him. "You can't. Those are innocent people." One of her hands went to a katana.

 

"What you seek is an impossibility." Merlok said. "I have lived for many many years and I can tell you, war is an inevitibility. People are always going to fight for one reason or another. There is no true peace."

BIC: "I refuse to believe that." Eva pulled out her bow and shot an arrow at Vlain.

 

"My friend here does not wish for you to harm these innocent people, yes, they may commit future crimes, but the worst crime of all is killing those whom cannot defend themselves. Therefore, I shall stop you with my blade and magic." he said.

 

Eva pulled out her katanas. "I will fight you. You won't harm those people."

 

Ireth almost rolled her eyes, but resisted. She whirled around, almost smacking Grey. "OH! I'm so, so, so sorry!" She put a hand over her mouth in shock. For all truth, she wasn't expecting him to be so close behind her. "Er... are you okay...?"

 

"You sure you want to do this?" he asked. "I'm sure I can handle a runt like him."

 

Eva jumped toward him, slashing toward his neck.

 

He stood back, ready to help if needed.

 

Eva curled into a ball, and snapped out a hand at the last minute, swinging around the tree and snapping a kick at Vlain.

 

"Just say the word and I'll step in Eva." he said.

 

"I don't want to!" Eva flipped back, and lunged at him, striking with one katana slashing at his neck, the other at his leg.

Eva shivered from the close contact. "She doesn't need to die!" she whispered fiercely. "She can live freely, as long as she doesn't harm people. Why do you need to kill, always kill?"

 

Ireth pulled her arm away from Grey, eyeing him with suspicion. "Wait, what do you mean by that?!" She cleared her throat, still trying to keep a cool profile. "How...?" She trailed off, not sure what to say.
