The War for Kingdom Hearts

Larxene narrowed his eyes at him, a knowing evil smile on her face as she seethed, "Somehow, I doubt that. But I'll pretend that I'm fooled for your benefit."

He did underestimate her, not only on her physical abilities, but on her intelligence as well. She'll show him soon, though, what she could really do, after she got the hang of her new prowess, and make her own fighting styles and combos. For now, she gave a terse nod, her arms moving, and placing her hands in her hips. She reminded him again, her tight expression not withering, "Don't think that means I'm in. I'm just curious about all this, and after that, I make my own decision from there."

Roxas' deep, cerulean blue eyes turned into slits as he eyed the robe, and reluctantly took it from him, and held it in his hands. Looking up at the man, who looked aged, but had pale, bright blond hair, he stared suspiciously. Whoever he was, he was important, and the way he had greeted him and met his presence, it seemed he could be the head honcho concerning the situation. Okay, so there was this war, he knew that, and he was converted into this...mutant, he couldn't find no other word for it, despite not knowing what was his power. And they had to fight, because their enemies wanted to take Kingdom Hearts over.

It was clear.

Opening his mouth for the second time so far after he awoke, he asked, "May I ask, who are you?"

 

"Very well," Zexion said, a small smile tugging at his lips, as he was glad that she had finally stopped fighting so much. "Follow me now, if you would please."
He turned, walking over to the metal doors, glancing behind himself to see if she would follow. Although he seemed perfectly calm, he was actually quite alert, in case she decided to try anything.

"Ansem," he answered. "I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance, Roxas." He turned, walking back to his desk and sat down. "Please take a seat." He gestured to the seat facing his desk. "I will explain everything to you...that Zexion hasn't already, that is..."

 

Larxene giggled quietly, her hand covering her mouth as she found it funny how he was so tense. Not that she could blame him, she must have made quite a entrance, after all. The redness of where she had hit him was still on his cheek, and feeling satisfied, she followed, a confident movement in every step she did, as if she owned the place already. Tilting her head, she gave a small smile at him, though it wasn't a assuring one. "You know, I haven't caught your name, cutie. Mind telling me?"

She sent a wink for the hell of it, but he was honestly quite the looker, Larxene had to admit. Hopefully, he won't be the only one.

Cautiously, not very trustful of the place yet, he went over to the directed chair, and sat down, holding his towel around his hips more tightly to make sure it didn't fall as he remade the knot. Since he was already in this...group, might as well take what he coudlinto consideration. Placing his gaze on Ansem, and putting the given black cloak on his lap, Roxas nodded. "Yes, he did explain a few things. That we have been injected with this special formula that gave us...abilities, and we have to battle against a army called Final Fantasy, because they are trying to take over our home. I've known of this, everyone in Kingdom Hearts does, but I didn't know there were...'super soldiers'."

Roxas was glad he had remembered that, he was a bit daze by then.

 

Zexion was startled by her sudden change of mood, from being enraged to suddenly flirtatious, and he could feel his cheeks grow hot by her comment and wink.
Quickly shaking off the feeling, he answered, "Zexion, apprentice of Ansem the Wise."
She seemed much more amiable now, but he still could not trust her so easily. After all, she had been protesting quite...flamboyantly earlier, hadn't she?

"I apologize sincerely for having taken you from your home and turning you into what you are now," Ansem apologized, solemnly, looking into the boy's eyes. "But as the time grows dire, we are in need of stronger...warriors to do battle against our enemy. So it would please us greatly if you could cooperate with us peacefully..."

 

Larxene held back another giggle at his blush and his flustered expression, impressively totally predictable. Smirking again, she tapped her bare feet patiently, almost sarcastically as if waiting to guide her, but she spoke coyly, "Sexy Zexion..quite nice, isn't it? If there are more of you around, I might actually stay after all..."

Yeah right. But he didn't need to know that. Heaving a sigh, as if she was bored, she said, "Are we going to stay and chat the whole time, or are you going to bring me to wherever it is we're going?" She raised both her eyebrows as her tone lowered huskily. "Zexion."

"It's alright, Sir. I already made my decision to stay here," Roxas affirmed, not moving his eyes from the man before him. After he had seen a taste of what Larxene can do, he had to admit it had him...perplexed, and engrossed. "Of course, if I have to die for the cause, I'm going to have to revolt, if that's the case. I made a promise I tend to keep. I'm informing you of this now."

 

Zexion turned, determined not to blush over simple words again, especially when she was obviously playing around, and began to walk towards the end of the room.
The metal doors slid open as he approached it, and he stepped out into the hallway, glancing behind himself at her.
"This way..."

"Of course, I do not intend for any of you to die, unless you so choose to," Ansem said. "However, being a super soldier, others will find it hard to injure you...especially if you learn to master your abilities."
For now, he knew none of Roxas's powers, but he knew that most likely, simarly to the others, he would hold extrodinary strength within him.

Larxene trailed behind him, rolling her eyes to the side at his all business demeanor, and pouted. Well, he was no fun now. Her eyes searched around as she stepped into the hallway with him, and halted them at Zexion abruptly. "Where exactly, are you taking me? Can't you just transport me there like you did to Roxas?"

She didn't want to walk if there was a better and faster to their destination.

"Just warning you..." Roxas shrugged, scratching the back of his neck with his hand. Ansem seemed to know a lot, and perhaps can reply truthfully to his inquiries. "Sir, are we going to waiting for someone? I mean, there is still Larxene left, uh...Number XII. That's another thing...where am I going to rest? And when am I meeting the rest that are like me?"

"Cloud!" Aerith exclaimed, dashing over to him. "Come...it's time to attack this town and take it for our own."

"I prefer to use my powers sparingly," Zexion said, as he continued leading her down the hallway. Just then, he stopped, stiffening. There was a ticking sound, on the floor...several of them. It was soft, as if muffled, but it was there all the same.
Oh no... he thought, widening his eyes as he recognized what it was.
He stopped walking and quickly turned, picking up Larxene in his arms. He then dashed off down the hallway, just as parts of the floor exploded, smoke billowing out from it.
Knowing Larxene was most likely wondering what was happening, he said, "We're under attack."

Marluxia grabbed Aerith "I think not, hahahahahaha!" He said pointing his scythe to her.

 

Larxene was just scoffing at his remark when she also had heard slight, clock ticking, and she halted, alarmed, though her face remained passive. She noted how Zexion had tensed, and it was obvious the sound wasn't anywhere near a normal clock. But before she could do anything, she felt herself being picked by Zexion, and taken away, running.

It wasn't long until she heard the explosion, the breeze of the force and the fire, and ducked her head on his shoulder by reflex. When they were out of harms way, she sighed irritably at him pointing out the obvious, "Wow, who could've guessed that? Hmm...and put me down, I can take care of myself."
