The War for Kingdom Hearts

"Good," Larxene professed, placing her hands on her hips haughtily as her lips curled distatefully. "I was wondering where I was going to get my rest in this place."

She noticed Zexion's change of expression, getting more grim, or in concentration. Creasing her eyebrows, she inquired, "Is something wrong?"

Roxas eyed every thing in expectation, and came to the fact that this wasn't a normal spar...in fact, it wasn't one. So, Axel was battling with their enemy, as he couldn't see why else they would be fighting, and that woman looked hard. But it wasn't like he could do anything, he didn't know his power, or what he was capable of, so he would only be a hindrance.

He felt Adhira sink her claws into his shoulder hard, and turned to the feline to find her eyes closed, as if focusing on something, and her body was glowing slightly. Roxas stared at her. What was she doing?

But he got distracted as he heard Axel's shout, seeing he got caught, though he expected it. None of them weren't normal. Leave?

Larxene, just after she had asked her concern, paused blankly as her vision blurred in a white light, and in a flurry of scenes, she saw pictures of Axel, and that Aerith girl in a struggle, and the side face of Roxas watching. Just as it had started, it ended, and Larxene, blinking, stepped backwards from the sensation. Shaking her head to get her senses back, she fluttered her eyelids, though she knew well what had just happened.

Adhira...

 

He blocks her fist with his chakram for a brief moment but that was all he needed. Axel quickly got up and uses a portion of his power to make a flame arena to keep a barrier from Roxas entering and preventing the enemy escape. He smirks and jumps back into the flames and waited for her next move.

 

Gilgamesh got ready to attack

 

Xehanort smiled and throwed ice spells to Axel.

 

"Larxene...stay here...there's an enemy here..." Zexion said, beginning to walk off, but stopped. "Oh...who am I kidding..."
He turned, walking over to Larxene and took her hand. "You won't stay anywhere I tell you to...come with me."
He then quickly began to walk down the hallway, holding her hand tightly.

Aerith's scanners quickly looked around the flames, and she could detect his exact location...the problem was that if she stepped through, it would burn her outer skin, leaving her inner self vulnerable.
Suddenly, a layer of ice extinguished the flames and she turned to see Xehanort.
"You're helping me?" she asked, puzzled.

 

"Whoever is against Ansem is my ally" Xehanort said.

 

"Then you will help our endeavor to take control of the other worlds?" Aerith asked, turning to him, but still keep an eye on Axel.

 

"It sounds perfect to me" Xehanort said, smirking evily.

 

"It seems you know me already," Larxene quipped with a evil grin on her face, her white and glowing teeth showing. She felt Zexion take her hand, before softly taking it away, not because she was being cold, but because she didn't want to be carried around. Larxene knew her way perfectly fine. Adhira had warned her, and she was aware of what was happening. "I know where I'm going. I'm guessing Aerith and Axel are fighting, and Roxas is there watching? Damn, I wanted to get to battle him first."

Roxas was at a loss of what to do. He wanted to help, but he couldn't get through with that wall of fire and he could barely see what was going on. He wished he knew what he could do, since he spotted another enemy going at the red-head. He was becoming slowly agitated, and he clenched his fists, mad at Axel for putting this shield and mad at himself for being useless.

It was then he heard a metallic cling, almost sounding like swords clashing, a blare of light blinding his eyesight for a moment, and his hands were now holding something cold, and metal. Utterly confused, blinking his eyes opened as the light dimmed, he looked down, only to gape and gasp in pure shock at what he was seeing.

It was swords, or rather, key swords of some kind, all finely decorated and chiseled, one was the color of black, and the other a light one, like it was representing ying and yang. And they were in his clutch.

"Oblivion and Oathkeeper..." he muttered under his breath in a daze, the names flowing into his head as if he knew them all along. Roxas stared at them blankly.

What the hell are these?!!

 

Axel winces by Xehanort's spell then switches location and looking back behind him, he could see Roxas holding something on each hand. He shook his head and faces back to his opponent and reveals himself out in the open and sent a huge amount of flames at her again. "You said no one else would be involve, android." He gritted through his teeth.

 

Xehanort yanwed as he summoned his Keyblade and fired ice spells, extinging the fire.

 

OOC: Actually, fire melts ice...

 

Before the magic spells could hit him, it turn into steam. "Sorry buddy, it is too hot for this battle."

 

"Or too freezing" Xehanort said, he then fired an entire wave of ice.

 

He held his chakrams in front of him to melt the blow, but in order to do so, he must take down the fire wall. He glance at the glacier then back where he saw Roxas. Axel sighs and the barrier fall, allowing Roxas to enter.

 

Roxas blinked in another surprise, as he saw Axel finally relenting and diminishing his fiery wall, and watched as it faded back away, and free. It must have been the bout between that creepy looking old man that drove him to do this, and then there was that android.

Two against one wasn't fair.

He eyed the key swords in his hands again, moving them and wondering what to do. He had practice fencing all his life, as the boys in the orphanage used to do it to play and waste time. The owner even hired a cheap instructor, but one who knew very well the art wisely, to teach them properly, but most of them...sucked, so they quit, and only him, and three others remained interested in the end. Roxas was only called out as having natural skills, quick on his feet and mind, yet would that help against a real sword fight? He wasn't even sure what he could do with these.

Then why not find out?

Roxas sighed, annoyed that his consious was butting in now. But he had a point. Why not find out? He was tired of being helpless anyway. Looking at Adhira, he gave a nod as to reassure himself, and determinedly walked into the playing field, a bit nervous, not knowing which one he was going to take on, but his voice was strong when he spoke.

"Mind if I cut in?"

 

He smiles as Roxas joins in. "Not at all." He turns to face his opponent and the bald man with a grim look on his face. "It seems me and the girl broke our only condition to this fight. We got to end this quick before any more joins the battle."

 

Roxas smirked back as he felt a kind of adrenaline rush going throughout, making him feel giddy and excited. He had never battled with real danger involved, but now...now he was firm and hell bent on not disappointing. Two key swords worked for him as well, since he used to fight with one or two katanas back in his old, shared "home". He had to give it his all, and if people interrupt, he wouldn't let them.

He turned to the kitty on his shoulder, giving it a look, and understanding, jumped off to the sidelines, safely, her tails swishing as he let him be. Sighing, he stopped next to Axel, looking over the two opponents, gripping his key/swords tightly. He thought Axel would question him, but he laid off, instead almost encouraging. "So, which one you want? The one you were fighting with?"

 

Axel didn't like the idea picking one opponent since the female has a metallic body and the old man has some magic hidden underneath his sleeves, apparently he's holding the same sword as Roxas has. "How about we alternate? Both are skilled and it is best to catch them off guard when we're working together." He smirks. "For now, I'll take the girl."

 

"Works for me," Roxa smirked back, not taking his eyes off of the two enemies as he twirled his key/swords around in his hand expertly, spreading them out menacingly in a slash sound. He was a few feet away from Axel to manage this, but he felt the power, something was overtaking him, and he took this seriously, his face blank. "I'll take the old fart, then. Ready when you are."

They will have to coordinate and read each other well to pull this off, but he thought they could do it, no practice was needed. Axel felt like his team mate already.
