The War for Kingdom Hearts

She was going to answer Roxas' question, until Larxene's head shot up as she heard Axel's comment, the man appearing, and scoffed. He had a point though. They were after her now too, and she could never go back to the life she had, unless this was over. This base is where she cannot get hurt or harmed in any way.

It seemed everything was working against her.

Roxas was surprised that the black cloaked guy, dressed just like them, greeted him. Being polite, he gave a smile to the unknown young man. "And, I'm Roxas. Number XIII."

He didn't think saying his number was needed, but is sounded more professional that way. Besides, it seemed he knew Larxene and what had ocurred so far.

 

Nova leaves them for discuss themselves.

 

"XIII, huh? Looks like we're going to expect great things that dormant within you." Axel smiles back. He turns to face the lightning princess. 'Hah! Lightning Princess!' He thought that nickname would irritate her, someday. "If you want, Roxas and I could watch you whatever you did in previous life. Our normal lives may be gone, but everyone has something special to them, right?"

 

Larxene eyed Axel, her lips in a thin-line. "I suppose, but I can watch myself. And what's special about me exactly, Hedgehog? Other than the fatc that I got turned into some stupid mutant against my will." With this said, giving Axel a raised brow, she turned to Roxas. "To answer what you asked, yes, that is my pet. Her name is Adhira, which means 'lighting' in Hindu, ironically enough. She's a rare breed, and her species extinct. She has many special abilities that you'll see soon enough. Her type never grows, she'll be a kitty forever, and has way more of a lifespan than humans."

Roxas nodded, absently, his mind set on what Axel had told him, but he listened to what she said. He stared down at Adhira, very interested, and even though she was a adorable little thing, if Larxene was her owner...well. Sighing, he looked at both of them quietly, since Zexion was unconcious. "What are we going to do now? Zexion is knocked out, courtesy of Larxene."

 

Axel ignores her name-calling. He doesn't mind since he thought he was a hedgehog himself.

He shook his head, why can't she see the picture? "Today's performance shows that not only you are a quick learner, but you have a strong sense of will. Not many special soldiers have that ability." 'She is rather unique, that is for sure.' "There is still humanity in you. What I'm saying is, do not let youself go because the world would think of you as a freak."

 

"I laugh when people fall down and get injured or bleed. You're too late on the freak thing," Larxene tried to joke, giving Roxas a scowl at his comment, before gazing back at Axel. "Though I understand what you mean. And how about you? You seem to be all calm and accepted your fate pretty easy. How long have you been here? I'm only staying because I have no choice on the matter."

Roxas just listened to them silently, engrossed on petting Adhira. He eyed Zexion, to see if he made any signs of moving, but none at all. Larxene had no other initiative but to stay here, so he couldn't escape either with the droids as their enemy.

 

Nova looks at the night sky and counts the stars.

 

He shrugs his shoulders. "Six to seven years at least. Though I cause trouble in this castle to make this place alive such as letting you learn how to portal so easily." He laughs as he tries to control it. "Zexion was hilarious when you went off on your own. Besides," he slowly stops, "I thought you need a little bit of freedom from this prison cage. I wasn't trying to amuse myself, you know." He looks into her beautiful, unyielding eyes.

 

Larxene felt uncomfortable under his gaze, though she didn't stare down or look away. She was surprised to hear he had been here so long though, when he only looked to be about 20. So he got here young?

"Thanks, I guess," she mumbled softly, still feeling tired from the events. "You look the type to get amused easy though. Using psychology, you called this a prison cage, so I guess you feel trapped as well?" Larxene thought this over for a bit, thinking that he was willing to give information. "Do you even get to go out at least? If I'm going to stay here, I better have some form of entertainment, except annoying people. Or...maybe a battle? I'm curious about what you can bring into the table, not like that Demyx guy, hopefully."

 

"I do get a little freedom, sometimes I sneak to other worlds than Kingdom Hearts and relax." He points to the ceiling. "At the top floor, we have somewhat freedom up there and a nice area to fight." He replies. "Ever since you got here, I have this urge to battle you. However..." Axel looks at her breathing level, "you look exhausted I don't want to fight someone in an unfair condition and forcing themselves to collapse. That is not healthy."

 

Zexion stirred slightly, making a small moan. Half-opening his eyes he looked up to see Larxene and Axel, staring quite closely at each other. "Larxene...Axel?"

"Hmph. Not to mention that I don't what else I can do yet. For some reason, I have the urge to fight you too, you seem like a dangerous opponent and one who can deliver," Larxene exploited indifferently, cocking her head to the side as a coy smirk appeared gracefully, her eyes looking up and down at his figure. "Fine then. I owe you a fight, though I might get...distracted..."

She curved a silky eyebrow up at him, trying hard not to giggle. Though Axel didn't look like one who would get all flustered like she wanted. Larxene got distracted when she heard Zexion move, hearing his voice, and looked down, eyeing him. "Awake...?"

 

Zexion reached up, touching the side of Larxene's face softly. "Are you...okay?"
For once, there was worry in his eyes...perhaps seeing her tear had softened him, but whatever it was...he felt concerned for her.

 

Axel was unmoved by her flirtatious moves he would let her have her fun...as soon as she heals up. He looks at Zexion and smirks came across his face. "Nice to see you awake, Sleeping Beauty."

 

Larxene almost recoiled back, surprised at Zexion's move, but got a hold of herself in time, and stared at him, though her breathing had quickened. He seemed to be concerned for her, and meant it, and she felt the same guilt she had a while ago, as Larxene knew perfectly that she was the one who got him in the state he's in. Grabbing the hand on her cheek softly, she put it down slowly back at his side. She wasn't the person to be worried about. "I'm okay. You...you're the one that fainted. I told you to let me go, didn't I?"

 

"Fainted?" Zexion repeated, widening his eyes, before realizing something. Shaking his head softly, he slowly sat up. "That...wasn't just it..." he mumured.

 

"What do you mean?" Larxene questioned, furrowing her eyebrows, at the ready just in case he suddenly falls back down, you might never know. She kept her legs in the same position, sprawled on the floor, and gazed at him intently.

Roxas was watching everything in his quiet demeanor, quite amused, but was also checking the other three people in the room. He had stopped petting Adhira's sleeping form after a while, letting her rest there, and decided to see what Zexion had to say.

 

Seeing at how Larxene was confused, Zexion shook his head. He couldn't tell her, not now...
"It's nothing..." he said, slowly getting to his feet. "But anyway...do you remember that girl...you were fighting?"

 

"Yes, from what Axel said, androids. Her name was Aerith," Larxene replied easily, not taking her mind off the fact of what he was avoiding. When a person said it was nothing, it was obviously something, or else they wouldn't have mentioned it. She eyed Zexion suspiciously. "But you can fill me on that later. What was it that you meant, that it 'wasn't just that'?"

 

It seemed Larxene wasn't letting it go so easily...but Zexion just wasn't going to tell her...not unless she found out herself.
"It's nothing really..." Zexion insisted, as he finally was able to stand, although a bit wobbily. His legs felt weak, and his head was still swimming.
