The Unknown Destiny

Once she landed she walked to the opposite direction from where the hospital was. She had nothing else to do anyway so she decided to just go to a direction.

 

She heard the noise again, forcing her to stop. She looked behind her, only seeing the hospital and some people. All seemed normal , but the whistling was annoying her. She slowly turned around again and continued walking.

Rei came in Vaagh's room as soon as vistitng hours started. He was asleep. She looked at him, thinking about how close she was to loosing him. She gently ran her finger down his cheek. Then she kissed him gently on the cheek. She looked up at the monitor that showed his heart was beating and he was breathing. She put her head on the matress looking up at the monitor. She dared not take her eyes off of it for one second. She fell asleep in that postion, head towards the monitor.

Vaahg stirred and opened his eyes to the white ceiling of the hospital. He blinked a couple of times and turned his head, surprised that the motion didn't hurt as much. There was a clipboard beside his bed and he reached for it, reading the injures. Two broken ribs, one fracture to his left arm, and many bruises and cuts. He tilted his head down and saw Rei, asleep by his side. With a herculean effort, and very slowly, he eased out of his hospital bed, taking care of his I.V. which he greatly detested. He went around the side of the bed and picked her up. Even when he was injured, she was light and didn't hurt him. He set her in the bed and sat back down on it, propped up on the pillows so he was sitting, with Rei curled up beside him. He looked at her and smiled before gently kissing her lips. He pulled back and leaned his head back, arm around Rei.

 

Rei woke up, and saw Vaagh looking at her. He was sitting up in the bed. Then she relized he had put her there too. His arm was around her. Comforting...she thought. She sat up and looked him straight in the eyes. "I'm glad youre ok." She said.

 

" I would rather it happen to me a thousand times over then it happen to you. I know that I'll be ok but I couldn't stand it if you were in danger." He smiled at her and grasped her hand, squeezing it gently.

 

She put her head on his shoulder. "Really, i would rather it be me lying there." She looked him in the eyes. "You have beautiful eyes..." she said.

Just then, the FBI stormed in the room. "You ok, Vaagh? 'Course you are. We'll give you a week to heal. Then, well get started."

"But he needs more time!" Rei protested.

"Wel, sweety, we only have a week before they attack."

 

Vaahg sat taller as the FBI came in. He nodded once when they told him and looked at Rei.

"A week? Naw that will be easy. We wolves are fast healers."

He turned back to the FBI and addressed them now.

"Who is attacking?"

 

The FBI agent nodded. "The Animal Kings. They are deadly beasts. We need to gater up the rest of the kids." and with that, he left.

"Are you sure you are all right?" Rei asked Vaagh.


The FBI agent saw a kid climbing the side of the hospital. "Yo, kid! Get down here, i need to talk to you!" He said.

 

Vaahg laughed and nodded. "The doctor came in while you were asleep, he said they patched up my ribs from the inside so I came move with out pain, as for my arm they did the same. They sad I could be out by tomorrow afternoon."

 

Rei nodded. "Thats good. Darn, i only have 30 more minutes in visting hours." she looked sad. "And my mom will freak if I'm not home by 8:00. I gotta go...see ya tomarrow?"

The FBI agent yelled for the kid louder. "Get down here!"

 

OOC: do you have to go or are you just rp'ing?

Vaahg nodded and let her go. He grabbed a book and began to read.

"Rei!" Rei's mom shreiked. "What's happened to you? I've bee soo worried. Out all night... The nerve! The nice FBI agent told me you were going to be a hero! That makes me happy! Where have you been?"

"I'm fine, mom...Yesturday was a big day. I spent the night in the hospital, worrying about a friend... I'm goin' to bed." Rei muttered. She hated it when her mom bombarded her with questions.


The FBI agent looked at him. "Because i have important news for you, i will let that slide." Then the FBI agent proceeded to tell the birdboy of the story, about the demons and the Animal Kings. "...And you are one of those kids. You will be a hero." he finished.

 

Vaahg was getting annoyed, as he was trying to read and the FBI agent would not stop shouting.

"Shut up and get out!!"

He turned on his side and tried to go to sleep.
