The Ultimate Organization III

OOC: Sorry, had to go for a sec.

BIC: Atilio opened communications as he finished setting the bomb. "In position. I'll detonate the bomb when the UPA arrive."

 

"Bob's coming with the kart, get in, detonate at twenty-five past twelve, in four minutes, one minute off target and Aeron will do it," Vecked's voice explained over the headset...

 

"Roger," Atilio said, wishing that he hadn't fallen asleep during the meeting. Being dead was tiring.

He walked to the end of the hall and turned left, walking down some stairs, turning right, up some stairs, left, right, through a door, into another hallway, which he followed right, then took the stairs to the left that led down, exited the stairwell through a door on the left, walked the length of the hallway, and ended up on one of about fifteen balconies.

The "kart" hovered up to the platform, and Atilio quickly checked his watch before getting in...

"Ten minutes to detonation," Atilio muttered.

 

"So where are we headed?" Xane asked.

Tul Raijin landed on a nearby world, with the Virus in tow...

 

Nulix shrugged.

***

"Are you alright?" A young boy asked, running up to Raijin. "Wheres your ship? Why you ain't got notin' but a space suit on!"

"And now, I would like to welcome a great friend of mine, war hero, distinguished gentlemen, and now the ninety-seventh holder of the U.P.A. heroism award, lady's and gentlemen, I give you Commander Seltzar," The mayor of Destiny City said, as the crowd started to clap.

Seltzar smiled as he walked up to the stage, "Thank you Alec, and let me just start off by saying I am honored.

"Honored to be here, honored that my loyal organization thinks I am worthy of this honor," Seltzar's voice said over Vecked's speaker, "I can't wait till' your dead," he muttered...

 

"Drop me off here," Atilio said. "I'll meet up with you later."

Getting out of the speeder, Atilio began walking quickly toward an abandoned building. Climbing up the long steep stairs, he made it to the roof, where Enigma appeared next to him.

"It's been interesting at least," Atilio said, checking his watch. "Five minutes."

 

"Get lost, kid," Raijin muttered towards the child. "I have business to attend to.

Xane sat back and waited for them to arrive at the next world.

Novice was among the crowd at Seltzar's speech. He knew it was going to happen inevitably...He just didn't know when.

 

"And I would just like to thank a few close friends," Seltzar said, "My fellow commanders, such as the honorable Commander Douchow, may he rest in peace, Commander Rorak, Commander Skinnar who was unable to attend today, Commander Erin,"

"Four minutes," Vecked muttered...

The child kicked Rajin in the knee and ran off...

 

Enigma looked at Atilio. "This is sick, you know that?"

"But it's perfect," Atilio said. "It's the perfect end to it all."

"You think this will end it?" Enigma asked, his fists clenching. "This will be just the beginning."

"Not when I'm through with this," Atilio smiled. "Three minutes."

 

"The ships ready, Sir," A man said, walking up to Vecked, "Great... I don't need to see this... get me out of here." Vecked sat in the ship and leaned against a window, "Two minutes."

 

Enigma stood in silence.

"You really are..."

"One minute," Atilio said, smiling.

Enigma shook his head. "Only someone really sick would do this."

"Or someone who has nothing to lose," Atilio said, turning to Enigma. "30 seconds."

"We'll see who wins in the end...Azull," Enigma said, turning and disappearing.

"Run, but you can't escape," Atilio/Azull said, turning back to the building. "3, 2, 1. Detonation."

The world went white, and infinity collapsed. Two dimensions came back together with a sickening jolt, and everything that is became that which will be again in a mind-bending jump in time that left half the world's population roiling in sudden nausea.

"You lose, Vecked," Azull said to the man himself, standing in front of them as they both stood on the world of Asgard. "I did warn you all at the beginning of this."

He chuckled. "The power of what if. As soon as you made your move, I produced my creation. Illusion has so many uses; when I entered this world what to you must seem ages ago, I snapped it in place. Everything you just experienced is what would have happened. But it never did. It was a 'what if,' the best I've ever done if I do say so myself. What if Vecked were allowed to play his little game with Scourge?"

"It played out, and it ended, and now we're back to the beginning," Azull said. "That's all there is to it."

 

OOC: Wait. Hold up. What the hell just happened?

BIC: Before the blast hit, Novice teleported next to Azull and Enigma, wondering what the hell just happened.

 

OOC: Now that I see your plot twist, I do hate you, Dk. And Pirate, Dk wanted to do something crazy which I'm just debunking in this post right here.

BIC: The citizens watched as the white light faded away, only to find the whole center of the city completely in ruins, a mushroom cloud above where the heart of Destiny city used to be.

"Oh my god..." The crew of the Odyssey muttered all at once, "What was that, a nuke? Did the Brotherhood just nuke us on Sora soil?" A unit Captain asked in shock...

Vecked looked at Azull...

 

OOC: Remember way back when we first came into the dark worlds and were attacked by Azull's behemoth creature thing? Maybe not, but this is what he said: "The power of illusion can do many things, such as 'what if this happens' or 'what if that happens.'"

Well, way back when he came to Asgard, he put one of those 'what if's' in place and let everyone run around doing their thing within his little illusion bubble. Now he popped it, so to speak. So nothing that has happened really happened, it was all an illusion.

So, we didn't fight Zaxor, Trent, or anyone else...the UO are still on Asgard, and the tournament is still ongoing, and Armageddon hasn't happened yet. Or whatever it was.

And play nice, Nulix...Hate me all you want, but play along...There's a way out of this...

EDIT: I honestly had this planned out all the way back to when we fought Zaxor and Trent...honest...

 

OOC: Until one of you decides on what just happened, I'll be hatin' on the both both of you. Especially you, DarKnight. XP

 

OOC: I'll play along with Vecked being in an illusion, but do you have any flexibility in the bombs thing? No? Alright, Dk, I'll play along... ignore my above post...

BIC:

"Thank you all, and goodnight," Seltzar said, walking off the stage. The crowd clapped and cheered as the mayor walked back on stage. "Thank you Seltzar for that great speech, and to you all, have a fine, fine day."

And then, the bombs timer hit zero.

Nothing happened.

Vecked looked around, confused, "Where am I, Azull?" He asked.

 

Xane looked around. They were all in Asgard, which appeared to be perfectly fine. In fact...It looked like the way it was during the tournament...

Novice looked around in confusion at the new (or old) surroundings. "Damn you, Azull..." he muttered, clenching his fists.

Tul Raijin wondered why he was in Scourge's lair. It all felt familiar...

 

OOC: Just wait...

BIC: That's when Enigma decided to play dirty.

"Azull, aren't you forgetting something?" Enigma asked, coming out of the shadows.

Azull frowned. "What are you...?"

"Isn't it obvious, Vecked?" Enigma asked. "Azull pulled a fast one on you, but there's only one way he could do that...He doesn't have near enough power to pull what he says he did."

"Enigma!" Azull shouted. "What are you...!?"

"So, instead, he did something mediocre," Enigma said, smiling slightly. "He did a much smaller one twice; once for Zaxor and Trent, and all the other Brotherhood fights, and one for the last ten days. Of which everything happened in reality, but he is now suggesting the 'what if' it didn't."

Azull stared at Enigma, shocked into silence.

"So, how to fix this...?" Enigma pondered, tapping his chin. "Oh, yes...Isn't it always...kill the illusion master himself...?"

"You'll regret this, Enigma..." Azull growled, pulling out a sword.

"I doubt it," Enigma said, laughing as he disappeared. "Good luck, Vecked..."

OOC: See? So it's not as entirely convoluted...

 

OOC: Um...What does everyone else (i.e my characters) have to do? Repeat what they were doing at the time? Which reminds me...This means that there was no war for the fourth god and the Virus, no battle between Wing and Liam, no fight with Kardas or Ravakov, no Lexx's publicity stunt for the UO, and no battle with the bandits?

 

OOC: Well... yeah, it still is Dk, but at least I can play off it!

BIC: Vecked chuckled, "You Brotherhood morons... you got a guy to pretend to be my old friend, you thought I'd trust him and I let him screw me over beyond belief... well very good, congratulations, you win. You stopped an attack on the U.P.A... brilliant, please give yourselves a nice big pat on the back..."

"And you, Enigma," Vecked said, as Enigma started walking away, "Jesus... you traitorous scumbag, the attacks over, the possibility is over... killing this loser can't change a thing," He said, pointing at Azull. "Now, please, Azull... let me on my way," Vecked said...

OOC: And Pirate, lets assume this is only effecting Vecked's team and it only started while Vecked's team was flying to Destiny Islands, cause it would really (really) screw things up if it effected the UO as well.
