Xane first responded to Tera Roth. "That's cool," Xane said. "And we're on the same level? I remember back during the Zeus Cup, when you were miles ahead of all of us." Xane then turned towards Nulix, wishing he hadn't asked that while Mellodia was in the room. "Yeah, I guess," he replied, glancing quickly back towards Mellodia, who just smiled at him.

 

Tera Roth smirked, then suddenly remembered the pain in his leg and slumped to the ground with a moan.

 

"Damn, that Mordeth guy got ya good," Xane said. "Any idea on who he was?"

 

"Brotherhood," Tera Roth grunted. "No one else could be that lame to fight."

 

"So, is his power exactly how he says it is?" Xane said. "It's hard to fight someone with the touch of death..."

 

"It certainly seems that way," Tera Roth said, standing back up. "If it weren't for my twilight powers, I'd have probably had to amputate my leg. It would have been dead."

 

Nulix looked up. "I don't really love Bella. She's amazing but I really just don't, you know? Every time I think of love I think of this girl I knew way back when I was like five, Alli. She was my first love, ya know? Its pretty sad that I think of a young girl when I think about love... anyway, back on the world, that cold Dark World place where we thought Bella had died? Well, I got contacted by her father. I thought he had died. Anyway, I was, for a time, Lt. Head of World back on Iceving, and I am owed close to three-hundred thousand dollars due to my services. I didn't receive at the time because of... troubles. Anyway, the check is owed to Vecked but his a criminal thus it goes to the Lt. Head of World, Nulix Princeton. Only its not Nulix Princeton, its... uh Lunix Prince who gets the check. Now, I was able to have power in this Iceving Falls place called Yamagachi back in the day, but now its on the straight and narrow because of the reform act from, uh, Destiny Islands or something? Two years ago? So I can't get my money with a false I.D. anymore. So I'm screwed plus the guy offering me the money is actually the father of this girl who knew me, right? Only he doesn't know its me, he thinks its Lunix Prince, right? So I'm screwed, and at this point we have landed on the Four God's world, where they died. So, I got four-hundred thousand dollars left on my card, my U.P.A. card, right? So I contacted the rival of the father of Alli, Mr. Globokahn from the neighboring world of Sazzaguard, right? I know Globokahn wants to afford a full take over of Alli's fathers business, right? I tell him my situation with full honesty, and how I'm owed this money but I'm actually not Lunix Prince I'm Nulix Princeton. The reason I think this will fly is because I'm somewhat known, Nulix Princeton, UO, right? Now, he tells me that I get a very hefty pay check if I speak for his company, Lexx-esque, right? So I say, I want my own company, make the big money, know what I'm sayin'? So, he tells me Alli's fathers company is making a new computer, a new home computer, the uh, god damn it, forgot the name. It uses the Maxilo technology, because last year that information was released by the Sora System to many major company's, and small company's get it anyway. Apparently Alli's fathers company is the far ahead in computer's with this thing, and the Maxilo computer is to come out late this year, so real close, right? This will jolt Alli's fathers company into the billions and make Mr. Alli's father a billionaire, for sure. Globokahn doesn't like this. Now, Globokahn is getting close to affording a full Alli's father company take over. So why is he telling me this if he's close to owning the billion dollar technology? Cause he's afraid that he can't buy them in time. He's offering me one million dollars if I get this technology. Now, I'm gonna do it, and then screw them both over. Keep it for myself. Princeton Computers has a nice ring to it, eh? Plus, I'll add Alli and her father in the credit of my company. I doubt they will have any hard feelings once I make them millionaires, eh? And, who knows, maybe Alli hasn't changed too much either. Maybe something will happen."

Nulix smiled, "I found an opportunity beyond... this. An escape. Xane, I'm going to be a billionaire... hopefully."


OOC: Made that all up on the spot.

 

"Is money all you really think about? "Xane frowned.

 

Tera Roth stared at Nulix and then walked over and hauled him to his feet.

"I hope you rot in a prison somewhere, Nulix," Tera Roth growled. "You and your brother. I hate people like you, always thinking they can manipulate and connive their way around everything. It's not right, and you know it. You can't just slide your way into money or popularity or power, without hurting people. You do this, you're going to hurt people."

 

Nulix sighed, before getting up. "I'm not happy, Xane. You don't know how miserable I am. Everyday in this hell hole. Four years of my life has slipped away to this place, I want to be an artist I don't want to see this war. I want to have my life back." Nulix gave a slight smile, "I act happy Xane but really I'm not... the older I get the less opportunity's I have. Life's too short to waste here."

Nulix glanced at Tera, before turning back to Xane. "I need this, Xane."

 

"Jerk," Tera Roth muttered.

 

"You really should stop being a coward for once," Xane said, pausing to scratch his chin."And what about Bellatrix?"

Nulix frowned, "I like Bellatrix. I like all of you. Look, I'm not a coward. But this isn't my life. What do I contribute, honestly? I'm comic relief, Xane. I have good idea's but we can never use them. This isn't the type of place to use them. I've traveled hell and now I'm going back to decent places. Not because I'm afraid, but because this isn't my world."

Nulix glanced at Tera, and then at Xane. "I'll be heading off tomorrow... so, yeah. Just thought I should explain myself a bit..."


OOC: I can stay.

 

"Sounds more like you're running away," Xardius said, entering the room. "Again."

 

"Do what you want then," Xane shrugged. "If you really want to."

 

"What's wrong with you people?" Nulix asked, "You know this isn't where I belong so why are you all ganging up on me? Are you all jealous because I'm making something out of myself? And after the UO your all screwed for life? Jesus..."

 

"Jealous of you?" Xane asked, laughing. "The opposite, man. We're actually trying to do something to benefit everyone, while you're ducking fr cover, under some guy with a briefcase. I would actually be mad at ya, if I didn't know you."

 

"That's right, Nulix," Xardius said dryly. "We're all jealous of you. Do you really believe that?"

He shook his head. "After all we've been through together, you think we're jealous? I thought we were better friends than that."

EDIT OOC: Lol, me and Pirate's replies were basically the same, XD.

 

"I thought so too, Xardius. Look, can't some one be happy for me?" Nulix asked, "The one goddamn thing I have, my head, has actually helped me for once and you people are saying I'm hiding, I'm being a coward?! Come on, I'm not a god, I'm not a, a muscle guy, I'm Nulix. And my scheming, my years of coming up with crazy plans have finally payed off, alright? I've finally schemed my way to happiness and ya'll acting like I'm being a traitor or something!"


OOC: I honestly don't see where the coward thing comes from. I'm on Nulix's side on this whole thing...

 

Xardius looked at Nulix hard for a second, then closed his eyes and breathed a long breath.

"A traitor, Nulix? Never," Xardius said. "..............I just expected more."

He stalked off, Tera Roth following, though Tera Roth's "stalk" was more of a limp.

OOC: Nulix's position is a guy who doesn't have much fighting ability who is going to soon be in over his head fighting the Brotherhood, destroying the Virus, etc. Besides that, he just admitted that he's decided that he doesn't love Bellatrix, and the fact that they've been leading each other along for quite some time can lead to awkwardness (unless he has nerves of steel or just doesn't care, which I don't think is possible for him; he cares about his friends).

The coward thing comes in because it really does look like he's running away, ditching his friends for a new life. It's kind of understandable why Xardius would be mad. Tera Roth's mad because he's jerking people around, but that's another story and no one cares about Tera Roth anyway.
