"Dont worry, its nothing that big," Xlay said. Though i wouldn't count on it being short.

 

Katara nodded. "okay..." she said and stood up, walking out with Xlay.

 

Once they were out of the room, Xlay turned to Katara. "What water bending techneques do you know?"

 

"Uh... alot..." she said furrowing her brows, a bit curious as to why she was asking her. "Do you know how to waterbend?" she asked.

 

"No, but something simular to that," Xlay said folding her arms, "And of course you already know what it is."

 

Kai grit her teeth. If Telren angered her anymore, she wouldn't hesitate to draw her swords. "What do you want?"

 

Katara looked at her, a bit confused. "You... want to learn?" she asked, unsure if that was what she meant. She was more confused than ever at the moment... and not just about Xlay.

 

"Heh, I just thought we could try to help eachother," Xlay said, "After all, its not just water you can bend right? As in, you can control other liquids too. right?"

 

Katara looked down, knowing exactly what she was talking about. "I never use it..." she said. "I don't want to teach it to anybody... it's an unsafe technique..." she looked up at Xlay. "But I can do my best to teach you to bend water..."

 

"No, I'm fine with what I have," Xlay said shrugging, "I just thought I could teach you things and you could teach me things. I Just figured since mercury was a liquid, then we could have switch a couple of tips is all."

 

"Oh..." Katara said, understanding a bit more. "Well... you can bend it a bit better if you make the motions with your hands smoother... and have the whole technique follow through..." she said. "That's all I really do..."

 

"Right, got it," xlay said nodding. "Oh, do you know anything about makeing clones?"

 

Katara shook her head. "No... but I'm hoping that maybe one day I'll be able to make water clones..." she said.

 

"Well I know only the basic way of doing it so let me know if you want to give it a try," Xlay said, "what about rain?"

 

Katara thought for a second. "I guess I could just sort of throw some water in the air if you want rain..." she said, thinking. "If I harden it... then it becomes needle rain..." she said and laughed a bit.

 

"ooo, ouch," Xlay said joking, "Thats pleasent. what about turning water into ice?"

 

"That's easy..." Katara said. "Just close your hands..." she said and made a bit of water come out of her bottle. "See?" she asked and closed her hand. The water instantly turned to ice and fell to the floor.

 

"Hm....."xlay said examining it, "Wait, give me a second," Xlay brought out some mercury on her hand. "So do I just think it or is it something I have to feel for?"

 

"Mercury may be completely different than water..." she said. "I just think that I want the water to freeze and it does..."

 

Geryl woke up and then continued to study after a long yawn.
