"If it's what you want. But I must play the part of his accomplice while we are there." Zentaro held Kai close to him and they disappeared in a swirl of ink.

"You're back. And you brought the world protector with you." Hideo turned around when Zentaro and Kai appeared in his office. ''Have you come to submit, Kai?"

 

"As if." Kai drew her Doublesword. "I want to see what you can do. Full on."

"I'm really happy.... but I don't know what Kai will say. I mean, I'm only seventeen... and Kai's my sister, so I want her to approve..." Garxena sighed. "And I'm also worried about Silax... he seems... different..."

 

Kairi smiled, "He is different, but that is the extra darkness in him, I think. He loves you just the same as ever. And I'm sure if you two are in love, Kai will approve. She wants you to be happy, just like all of us do, and if you are happy with Silax, then be with him."

 

"I have no time for your games." Hideo waved dismissively. "Hiwatari, take care of her. Then take her to Sora."

Zentaro looked at Kai. He nodded at her, as if to say 'Let's make this good.'

 

Silax walked to a tree and leaned up against it, "I wonder if I asked....if she would say yes....." he said looking up at the sky, "I already gave her a ring....and we both love each other....."

 

Garxena smiled. "You're the best Kairi." She gave Kairi a big hug.

I wasn't expecting this.... alright then. This should be interesting. Kai nodded back. She readied her swords.

 

Zentaro jumped back from Kai. He made sure Hideo wasn't looking then he winked. He drew an ink beast and knocked Kai up against the wall.

 

Kairi smiled and hugged her back, "I try my best." she replied, giggling alittle. "So, are you going to tell him yes?"

Garxena blushed. "He hasn't asked yet... but when... if... he does, yes is my answer."

I know it's an act, but that hurt. Kai hung her head, faking unconsciousness.

 

Silax turned around and headed back to headquarters, "but when should I ask...." he sighed, "I don't want our love to be disturbed by these attacks and constant fights....."

 

The ink beast disappeared, causing Kai to fall to the floor. Zentaro didn't make a move to help her. This will be difficult, fooling Hideo.

Hideo knelt by Kai. He lifted her head. ''A cheap trick." He hit Kai in the gut, then the back of the neck. "Hiwatari, do as you are instructed. Take her to Sora and do no more than that."

 

Kai's vision blurred. Do it, Zen.... She slumped to the floor.

 

Zentaro picked up Kai. He left Hideo's office, went down hallways, and came to a large door. He opened it. I'll be back for you, Kai. And Sora too. He placed Kai against a wall, blindfolded her, and left. He locked the door.

 

"I wonder when Kai and Zen are coming back." Garxena looked out the window. "Maybe she wanted to talk to him about his work..."

 

Katara woke up on the couch in the lobby.

Momo flew around the lobby happily and landed on Katara.

Katara laughed. "Hey, Momo," she said and smiled, gently stroking his head.

 

"Hey, Katara. You feeling better?" Garxena looked over at her.

 

Katara looked up at Garxena. "Yeah... a bit..." she said, remembering what had happened. "But Silax... is he... i mean..." she looked down, not finishing her sentence.

 

"He's fine. He's out for a walk right now." Garxena smiled. "Did something happen?"

 

Silax walked back into the lobby and went and stood over by the window, "yes I hope your feeling better Katara...." he said, "you don't have to worry about Zukko.....hes been given his punishment....."

 

Katara stared at her hands and didn't say anything.

Momo flew over and landed on Garxena's shoulder, making happy noises.
