The Tybic Redemption

Tybic slowly opened his eyes as he felt someone shake him. He looked up tiredly at a girl who was kneeled beside him. She seemed to be shocked. He sat up, looking at her, kind of scared. "Who are you?" He asked cautiously, afraid that she might hurt him. He rubbed his head, wondering what had happened. Was that portal the power of my darkness...? He thought, wondering where in the world it had come from.

 

"I'm Natali." She replied in a quiet and soothing voice. "What's your name? Oh, "She continued after seeing the look of fear in his eyes "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you or anything. I'm quite tame." Natali giggled. "My bark's worse then my bite and all that. You want some help sitting up? You look dizzy."

 

"I'm Tybic..." He responded. He gave a small smile. If she wasn't going to hurt him, then maybe he could make a new friend. She seemed really nice. He rubbed his eyes from the strong sunlight. He'd been under Hallow Bastion for so long, that his eyes need time to adjust to the light. He tilted his head and looked around. The place didn't seem familiar. "Where am I...?" He asked. It looked nothing like Hallow Bastion. When she offered to help him sit up, he shook his head. "Nah, I'm alright..." He said, sitting up. He was a little dizzy, but he usually didn't like accepting help from others.

 

The enigmatic man. "appeared out of a portal of darkness before Tybic and Natali. "I thought I sensed power within you." he said to Tybic.

 

"Nice to meet you Tybic." She smiled warmly as she brushed her violet hair behind an ear. Taking in her surroundings too "And I think this place is called Traverse Town. Though really I have no idea, I've only been here a few short hours and it's a rather large world compared to my old home." Natali tried to explain somewhat unsucessfully. "And if you're certain, though I advise you don't stand for around an hour or so."

Then, when as if he'd been there all along, conceled in plain sight, a unknown figure appeared. He immeadatly spoke to Tybic, not even acknowledging her.

 

Tybic smiled. However, he was confused. Traverse Town...? How did I get here...? He wondered. Suddenly, somebody appeared in front of him and Natali. He seemed familiar... It was as if Tybic had seen him before. Oh, I think I saw him back at Hallow Bastion... He thought and tilted his head. "W-Who are you?" He asked, trembling a bit. What was he talking about? he sensed power within him? My darkness...? he thought.

 

"You have the power of darkness." he said "Although it is not fully awakened you were able to open a portal between worlds. Though I admit I might have given you a small push." he chuckled "Your friend here seems to have a certain power about her as well,though what kind of power it is I do not know."

 

Tybic jumped up, frightened. What was he talking about? He suddenly remembered the portal. So he helped with that...? He thought and took a step back. "You didn't awnser my question..." He said and then glanced over at Natali. She has a special power too? Okay, now this was confusing. What was going on? And how did this guys know about his darkness?

 

Special... Power...? Darkness... Heartless... Key-blades? All these stories, all these faerie tales that were were written to scare children and spook the foolish. Or, where they? Natali didn't really know anymore. Everything was so confused.

"To answer you with your first question, I am DIZ. You seem puzzled, you must be wondering how I knew about your power. Its quite simple really, when I share the same power." DIZ answered.

Mya got dragged by Mickey into the portal,"Where are we going?!" Suddenly, she fell and landed on her stomach on the cold floor of the Underworld. She shivered. Something didn't feel right about this place.

 

"You... share the same power?" He said and tilted his head, taking a step back. What did this "Diz" guy want from him, anyways? He was just a normal kid... Well, except for being help prisoner. The darkness thing... There's no way it could be real... Or, could it? Well, where else could that portal have come from? He thought for a second. I didn't make i, though... Maybe that Diz guy did... He thought.

 

"Allow me to demonstrate." he said opening a dark portal. "This is portal like the one you came through can cross between various worlds...or even into the realm of darkness. Malifiecent and her cohorts also have the same power, but the difference is they do not fear darkness. They accept it willingly into their hearts. This is a foolish error that allows the darkness to swollow your heart. To wield darkness efficiently you must stare straight into the dark, neither fearing it nor rejecting it.

 

Atropos woke up, the curse still taking affect. She was in a different room now, and is chained to a rock with a small keyhole on it. She looked around the room. What the...where am I? she thought. Gradually, the chain grew tighter and tighter as if someone on the other side of the rock was pulling on it. "Who's there?" she called out. The chains loosened a little. An empty cloak looked at her, the Phantom. It casted a spell on her, causing 12 candles to circle around her. The Phantom seemed to laugh as it broke the chains, setting them both free. First thing's first, I'll have to get out of here if I want to kill that thing to get rid of this spell. She exited the room while the Phantom was following her through the walls, watching her every move. The twelfth candle was almost extinguished.

 

Mya got up and stumbled a bit. The Underworld's curse was talking affect on her. She walked around to see that she was alone in some kind of room. Each step she took made her feel weaker and weaker. Then, she heard someone yell, "Hello? Is there anyone here?" she called out.

 

Tybic froze. But... i can't do that... He thought. "There's no way I can use darkness, then..." He said. "I-I'm... afraid of the darkness..." He said quietly and looked down. He had to admit it. He was afraid of the darkness consuming his heart: taking it over. He didn't want that to happen.

 

Atropos heard someone call to her. She went towards the voice. "It's me, if you remember." she told Mya. "Could you help me get rid of that? It'd take off this spell." she asked Mya pointing to a wall. The Phantom came out of that wall, a red heart as its core. Ten candles remaining.

 

Mickey felt bad about leaving Mya, but if Hades was involved, he'd have to take care of this quick.

He rounded several corners, and--rather than finding a new area--he found Mya and Atropos.

He'd gone in a complete circle.

 

"If no one kills that cloaked Heartless over there, we are all going to lose our hearts to it one by one!" she stated. Nine of the twelve candles were lit now. She then tried to cast a stop spell, but the curse made her too weak to do that. After all this, she just remembered something. "Or...someone can get the Olympus Stone to lift the Underworld's curse. Any volunteers?" she added.

 

"Do not feel discouraged." DIZ said seeing the disheartened look on Tybic's face. "Darkness is only one of many powers and I will help you reach your potential."
