The Tales Series

Ah, what a great series in my opinion... With wonderful games like Tales of The Abyss, Tales of Legendia, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of The New World, Tales of Vesperia, and many many more that I cant even count. This is a good amount of games but why stop there? This series has a good amount of games to always keep you satisfied and want to play it over. If you like the Tales series, or even if you don't, tell me your reasons we'll will be happy to hear about it.

I agree, the Tales games are one of my favorite series of games. The stories and themes for each of the games are good and deep, I usually like the characters and don't hate any of them, and the replay value is great, I think I actually played through Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss three times because of the sidequests, the higher difficulty levels, and the story was still good. It sucks that Namco hasn't localized all of the Tales game though like Tales of Innocence and Tales of Rebirth.

 

I know I would totally buy them soooooo fast, Although I watched videos on them it was pretty amazing. And I have to agree with you I'm currently playing Abyss for my 3rd time, my dream is to finally make it to 200 and Defeat van like that with every ones best weapons you get when you beat the collisium with each character. I'm currently playing Tales of Symphonia since I just bought it and I personally think it's one of the best. The only problem I have is that my Tales of Legendia was stolen from me and I can't get it back... GRR!

 

I was playing ToV but got distracted by Assassin's Creed 2 and DJ Hero. I need to start playing again...

Tales of Hearts I'm guessing, and I haven't had a chance to play Tales of Vesperia, because of the Gamestop here keeps running out before I can get it, any good?

 

@Sadden- I suggest trying the exhibition match in the coliseum on unknown difficulty after you get all of the best weapons in the game. It's one of the hardest battles in the game but you feel of sense of accomplishment after beating it and then you can try Nebilim which is harder. I also think that Tales of Symphonia was the best one but I haven't played all of the games yet so I guess I might find one that I like more.

@Zero- You should play ToV, I haven't played it myself but I heard that it's a good game.

 

Same thing happen to me, had to go to three gamestops to find ToV.
Yeah, Tales of Hearts.
There's something with RPGs, I play for abit, then I can't put it down.
That bit turns into hours and those hours turn into days, etc.

 

Me and my sister played Tales of Symphonia for awhile but we had to return it to a friend.

I have beaten Nebilim, She was actually pretty easy in my opinion, and yeah I know about the weapons my friend told me about it but I havent tried to get them yet. Something else I need to try is the Abyss, where you get to face Leretta, Sync, Largo, and Arietta again, well it's their replicas but yeah, I watched my friend do it on my file and I was just like omfg lolz...

Well New York sucks for finding games so, plus I don't have a car so I can't go driving around to find it. I think I might go to a place called Replay games down here to see if they have it. Also known as gamespot, If anyone was wondering if they had one in their area. Place sells mad oldddddd systems plus new games so I have a good chance of finding it there. Btw, Tales of Hearts, is it any good?

 

it is indeed an awesome series, love how it's multiplayer. i never got the chance to play Tales of Vesperia since it's an Xbox exclusive (at least in the US it's an Xbox exclusive). the best one in my opinion is Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut. unfortunately a Japanese exclusive.

 

I haven't really played any of the japanese excusives since I only heard about the series a year ago... Got any to recemend?

 

Yea Tos is really good I have beaten it like 9times or so and I still really like it :)

 

Tales of Hearts is good. But it's in Japanese.

 

My favorite was tales of legendia

 

defintely must play Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut. the battle system is awesome. i also heard good things about Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny 2 but i haven't played those 2 so i don't know, i only played TOD: DC because it was a remake of the PS1 version of Tales of Destiny (so i actually kinda knew what was going on)

 

The only problem now is finding out how to get them, I cant really get them off the internet cause I don't have a credit card so

 

sorry to hear that, i actually bought TOD: DC from Play Asia's website. i saw the other games on that website as well, but i guess internet resources are off limits without a credit card. i guess the only other way to get it is to find a store that imports games, but i've actually never come across that where i live so i don't know how the odds are for you.

 

Dang it, that really freaking sucks... Actually, I think there's a store I can get it from but I'm not sure... It's that video game store Replay I was talking about hopefully they can import games for me.

 

ToD: DC is the best game in the series. Graces fanboys can kill me if they want, but ToD will never be surpassed. D:<

I've played and beaten Abyss and Symphonia. I also know alot about Vesperia even though I don't have it/never played it.

I wish we'd get more of the Tales Games with some decent English Voice Acting. Eternia's voices made me puke. And I want Graces and VS. D:

 

I know some things about Vesperia too... Lik- WAIT! Just warning you there's spoilers... Anyways Kratos from Symphonia, is in Vesperia as a secret boss. Plus in Abyss, If you have ever Gotten to the hidden village that the Dark wings created, if you look around and go into the changing room, Lloyd's outfit is in there, it says when you examine it Actually I forget but yeah.
