Kasha didn't say anything. Glad she was aloud in. Kasha walked tiredly over by the other pups, however, she still kept a little distance from them. She let herself fall down, and curled up, yawning, and quickly fell back asleep. She ignored the fact that everyone else was getting up. She was tired and barely got any rest, well, none for the matter. Kasha hoped that they wouldn't wake her up, instead, she hoped, they would just let her rest the day.
'Probably not.' She thought, even though, she had her eyes closed and was drifting back into sleep. 'They know that I would stay awake tonight.' She thought, and sort of felt annoyed. She wanted to rest now, not watch the elders of the pack make the pups sit and watch how to hunt. She wasn't up for playing with the other pups either, even though, it was important for a pup's daily enrichment.

 

"Should I be...?" Seth asked. It was more of a challenge, or a dare, or a threat. I'll get my rep out of her, for sure. He yawned, but clenched his teeth to shoot it back.
Was she a really kind person? Nah, she coudn't be, since kind people to him were people who could stand his losses and understand to keep their distance. The last thing he wanted was people to talk about him. Or she maybe stubborn and refuse to give him pity. He'd hate those people more then the pitifulls. Definately the leaders relative. Obnoxious. He blocked those thoughts from his head as he slammed a rock away with a clatter.

 

Andrew got to see the new pup more closely. It's a girl! This is great! Andrew was going to rush right over there and start talking her and tell her about the den and ask her whether she could play tag and while he was thinking of all these glorious ideas of fun he was running around trying to catch his tail, but-......but Kasha was already asleep. When he saw this, his ears plopped back down in disappointment and gave a small whimper of sadness. She was probably tired and he would respect that and leave her alone.....for now. Maybe when she wakes up, she'll want to play! At the moment, Andrew decided to creep over to Kasha quietly and just stare at her a foot away his tail wagging slowly behind him.

 

Kasha jumped at the sound of the rock. Her ears went forward, looking around, making sure there wasn't any danger. Kasha remembered her mother always reminding her to make sure the birds were chirping in the fields or in unfamiliar forests before she dared to enter. She noticed Andrew in front of her, and scooted away, wagging her tail in a friendly manner. Andrew made her feel a little nervous, even though, he had friendly body language. Kasha put down her ears, whining lightly, and avoided eye contact with Andrew, and stopped wagging her tail. Kasha glanced around the den without moving for a moment. She could only see a little of the den, since, she was afraid to move.
"Don't hurt me..." She whined lowly under her breath to Andrew.

 

A cowardice...this isn't good for...he sniffed the air. Yes, that would be the leaders daughter. That wouldn't be good for the leader, his reputation dwindling becuase of his daughter. Would be good for me though.
He shook his head, growling. Those aren't good thoughts for me. He quietly trotted outside the cave, looking towards the open forest. I hope we run. I'd like that, and maybe some hunting. He'd want to be the leader of hunting, that would be great for him. Gave him a sense of pride.

 

"Hurt you? Silly girl. I wouldn't hurt you!" Andrew cheerfully said as his tail started wagging faster. "Are you still tired? Do you want to play?" Andrew really wanted to run around and get rid of his pent up energy but he restrained himself from doing so to see this pup's reaction and reply.

 

Rayne looked over at the young pups and chuckled. Andrew seemed very excited to have a new friend. She turned back to the cave entrance and padded forward. She knew the pack was growing hungry and couldn't delay another five minutes. Empty stomachs do make one a little grouchy. Her own stomach growled a little.

Rayne stopped and looked out over the woods and smelled the air. Nothing was close by. She stood there for a few seconds, planning out her routes and escapes.

 

Seth knew himself he'd think up of angering thoughts why Rayne went out of the cave also, so, to stop, he licked the snow for some water.
Seth walked around the snow, getting used to the cold on his feet, loving the snow mash together when he pressed on it, and walked around the trees. He didn't go far, but he sure did a good look out.
He trotted back, showing submission to Rayne, respecting his elders.
Darn reputation thoughts.

 

At this point, Andrew couldn't restrain himself. He started hopping from side to side, which could be counted as an evasive manuver when he grew up. "Do you? Do you? Do you? If you're still tired....well...that's okay too." At this he stopped hopping and gazed at Kasha awaiting her reply. He fully understood the value of sleep.

 

Alaura chuckled under her breath as she watched Andrew. She knew they would get along easily. On the other hand... she thought as she saw Seth going into the forest. She hoped she wouldn't have to go after him. Relief flowed through her as he reappeared a short time later. She lay down in a more comfortable position. There's great hope for this pup, she thought to herself. She yawned as her stomach growled a little.

 

Rayne regarded the pup named Seth, and then turned her attention back to the forest. It was time to go, the pack was growing hungry. She broke into a slow run into the forest, ready to hunt and gather for her pack. The smell of wet pine needle struck her nose as she ran through the snow. The she-wolf kept her guard up as she came down to a slow trot. The deer herd was usually grazing on the only patch of grass up ahead. Rayne now started to walk, as she crept up to the closest bush to hide.

 

Seth spotted Rayne moving away into the forest. Time to go. He ran after her, but quietly, and the pine needles scent overwhelmed him as he sneezed. He held it back. The scent was nice, and made him yawn. He hoped no one noticed, and so he crouched next to Rayne. He spotted two deer. He'd go for two, maybe. He needed skills. He'd kill one then kill the other. Eat one and share one with the rest of them. He had it under control. He bended his feet, prepared for launch. His muscles hard.
Jump, bite the neck, claw it. Hop onto it, bite it again, jump to the next one.

 

It was then at this moment, Andew heard his stomach growl loudly. "Oh.....sorry. :D I guess I'm kind of hungry. We can wait for the elders and eat and then we can play." Andrew laid down with his head still looking at Kasha.

 

"Okay." Kasha said, sleepily. She knew that she wouldn't be hunting if she went. She was too young. The elders of the pack would make her sit aside in some dead or dying grass in the field and hide but watch as they chased the elk. She would rather be able to sleep in a warm spot that was quiet and free of danger than force herself to stay awake for the chance of a failed hunt. Her mother always had a hard time hunting. A lone female with a pup never really stood a chance of survival. If they survived it was just, luck real pure luck. Kasha kept her eyes closed even though she was able to hear the sounds of her stomach communication with her. She was hungry. It has been a good thirty hours maybe since she last ate. Her mother made her eat often since a pup needed to eat more than an adult. Adults could go so much longer than a pup. Days longer. That annoyed Kasha she found that her mother would probably still be alive if it wasn't for Kasha's need of food.

 

"So.....what's your name?" Andrew tried for a conversation. He didn't really like awkward silences. Now, sometimes he couldn't help it if there's just a long peaceful silence, but awkward silences, he couldn't stand them. I wonder why Seth is always like that. I hope he doesn't hurt himself.

 

"I'm Kasha, daughter of the Great Leader," Kasha said, wagging her tail, with her head resting on her paws. She started to close her eyes but tried to stay awake, "Who are you...?" She murmured quietly to Andrew. Kasha felt her limbs becoming more tired. Kasha closed her eyes, and blinked trying to stay awake. Kasha listened to her heartbeat as everything around her started to grow quieter and eerie. She wasn't able to think straight. Kasha drifted into sleep quickly and quietly.
'Where am I? Why is this happening?' She questioned herself, event though she was asleep. 'I want to be with mom.' She thought, and whined in her sleep.

OoC://Please try to lengthen posts. I'm struggling to get at least 10 sentences.

 

Rayne kept her eyes on the deer... Picking out the weakest one and lunging for it. It was trail and error with these animals. The leader of the herd could come out of no where and gore you without warning, or could turn away and run. She was planning out her attacks carefully, when she sensed a presence beside her. She turned to see the young pup named Seth. She shook her head slowly. This was the fifth or sixth time Seth decided to tag along.

"Seth, you're suppose to stay and wait at the cave," she said quietly to him. "This is too dangerous for pups..."

 

I'm trying....I'm trying......but failing....

BIC- "I'm Andrew.....*yawn* Daughter of who?.......oh...." Andrew was getting sleepy as well. Maybe we'll be able to eat, and then we can play tag, and I can show her around, and.....and.... Andrew had fallen fast asleep just like Kasha. He ignored his stomach rumbling and dreamed that it was thundering. "Angel?! Angel! Where are you?! Angel!" He shouted as loud as he could trying to desperately howl but he couldn't find her. Andrew's legs twitched occasionally during the dream and his snout also twitched. He had a grimace on his face.

 

Alaura snapped out of her daydream. Seth had gone off on his own. Again. She got up and padded over to the entrance of the den. She sniffed the ground, then the air, trying to pick up his scent. She hoped he had only just followed Rayne. Of course, he would ruin the chances of a successful hunt, but at least he would be safe. Alaura couldn't risk leaving to go look for him right now.
She nudged Andrew with her nose. "Sorry to wake you, hun. Did you see where the rascal went?" she asked him. She was getting nervous.

 

"Huh?......."Andrew blinked awake, but didn't realize that he had jolted when Alaura nudged him. He took a moment to relay her question to his brain while yawning silently. "Um.....I don't know.....he might've tried to go hunting.....again..." Sometimes Andrew didn't get Seth. He was just a pup like him. What made him think he could take down a deer or something? A rabbit maybe, if you were fast enough, but regardless.....What's up with him and hunting? That's for the grown-ups to do. Right now we're too young to do much of anything except train to hunt and play. We can always hunt later. He yawned again and laid his head back down. Being a kid is only temporary....take heed of it and live lively. Otherwise.....life won't be as much fun.
