As I'm sure many of you all know, America is going through one the darkest days in its history. Millions have lost their jobs, hundreds of buisiness have gone bankrupt, and the dollar is becoming more worthless every day. At my age, it all seems to be closing in, because when I get done "growing up", there may be no America to live in. President Obama says that it will get worse before it gets better, but its been getting worse for a while now. Please, some form of assurance that it will be ok. Just tell me what you think: How much longer until then?
It's not just America, even Britain is being effected in similar ways. It'll be fine in a few years something good should happen.
It's true that it has to get worse before it can get better, and I think that to fully decide 'when', we need to see what Obama does with his first year in office. After that we will know what the next 3 will be and how the economy will bounce around.
I haven't really kept up wiht what Obama's been saying. But in my opinion, I think that things might getter soon. It seems like a lot of people are being pushed into corners now, economically, and maybe emotionally. I'm hoping that this slump will end soon and not get worse.
No one knows how much longer. The only way to know that is through mathematical calculation, because the Federal Reserve has to pump up to the limit, and as soon as interest is too high on the debt, the Treasury will be forced to cease the Dollar as a legitimate form of currency. Could be tomorrow, could be a week from now. Just know that it isn't at its worst stage, yet. So do what you can to say what you can and prepare for it, I guess.
I heard today that everyone 40 and younger will never receive Social Security because by the time we are at that age, it'll be bankrupt or somethin like that...
Really? How about another dark day, just 8 years ago: 9/11? That was pretty dark. Or, oh, I dont know, going back in history a bit, the fact that, at one point, General Washington nearly LOST the Revolutionary War? Or the Civil War? Or Lincoln's assassination? The GREAT DEPRESSION?! There have been PLENTY of worse times for us and for the world. We are experiencing a hiccup that, IMO, is completely natural in a FREE economy, and only avoidable if we were a real, working communism (not Russian style - the ORIGINAL intent - all wealth shared, all business under everyone's communal control, etc etc), and actually may be healthy for the country by cutting out the deadweight and corrupt and leaving only those willing to work.
