Kyla gathered Jonathan in her arms and placed him on the bed. Covering him with a quilt she kissed his forehead.

"You never seem to find peace do you? Life is so unfair."

Kyla turned and walked out of the room.

"Shadonic? Where have you been?"

Kyla watched him carefully, waiting for him to pass out as well. She was not sure what he had been up to.

Kyla heard Jonathan groan in his sleep and went to see what the matter was. She stroked his hair, as she did the boys. "It's just a bad dream."

"Why are you bothering with Dogboy? He's old enough to look after himself."

 

"Shut up!If I could,I'd slice off your head!"He said turning his hand into a blade.

 

"Please Shadonic, no slicing up my relatives. It makes such a mess on the carpet!"

Kyla went to Shadonic and put herself between him and Gharanth. "Why don't you sit with me and relax? Tell me about your adventures."

 

"Fine...I guess i could..."

 

Kyla grabbed his hand and led him into the lounge. The others were watching TV. "Would you like to stay in here, or talk in the dining room. I'll get you some refreshments. We could sit out on the balcony, it's fine outside."

 

Starr flew following Kyla back to the beach house wondering what had just happened. After landing on the porch with a bit of a bump, She saw someone new in the house just walking onto the balcony with Kyla. She wondered who this new creature was.

 

"You need to relax and take some downtime as well. I know you're worried about Jonathan, but we can help look after him, so you can have more time to yourself."

Kyla looked at Shadonic with a sad smile.

"I know so little about you, and yet you seem so caring and loyal to Jonathan. I would like to be your friend."

 

Starr knocked on the door and walked into the house eager to get back in and say hello .
"Hello all, sorry about the bump on the porch retracted my wings a bit too soon,what happened in the shop Scarlett?

 

"I think Scarlet's resting. It was a bit of a shock. Can you drive? I won't be able to go next time, as that monster's hunting me for some reason. I think Jonathan will explain once the poor thing's recovered. I feel so bad about him, being so alone and probably afraid. He won't admit though, far too proud. He needs friends now."
