"Well, there is a certain dog demon who will be lonely....it seems such a shame."

"Well it seams everyones pretty much is going to be married soon, I,ve been alone for quite a while because of the traveling , but I like it here perhaps I could stay"
Kyla" Your certain Dog Demon seems ok so far,.. and you Gharanth but are you here to stay? "I wouldn't see getting to know people and losing them after.. much fun i've been through that before"

Starr realised she'd given a little bit more information of her past than she wanted, she wanted to forget that bit ,(Starr rubbed her torq , and thought more.... perhaps she shouldn't forget it, but learn and move forward after all these are her friends now , what does her past matter to them )

 

"Hey, cheer up, I'm alive now and definitely staying. Is theer something wrong with that torc. Is it rubbing? We've both lost people in the past, so feel free to talk. I'll understand. Kyla will to, ask her about her first suitor."

Kyla glared at Gharanth. "That's the past." She sat on the floor next to the couch and held Zarax's hand. The children were watching TV.

"If you want to talk, we are always here to listen."

 

" I am fine really, no the torc Isn't rubbing just a thing I do sometimes when thinking or remembering just like scratching your head , I forget I do it.

 

"Seriously though, we won't judge your past here, so if you want to stop running, this is the place to clear your mind and join the family, so to speak. I know you're hiding something, but we all have dark pasts. My curse is gone now, thanks to my beloved Zarax, without him I would turn into a monster, just like Gharanth did. It saved him as well, so I suppose the whole family owes Zarax. Even he has darkness in his past. Please don't run or hide. After all if you marry one of the eligible bachelors of the house, you'll be one of us."

Gharanth kissed Starr's hand.

Gharanth sat on the floor playing with Ark and Sasuke. He ignored what was going on around him. Was he a grandfather, ancestor or what? He looked round and grinned at Starr.

"You should really chill out and enjoy being here. Life isn't too bad."

 

Starr went over to the children and sat down on floor by Gharanth.

"They are great kids aren't they"...

"You were talking about your past Gharanth and people you've lost, can you tell me a bit about it?"

 

Zarax opened his eyes everything was blurry, he then looked at his chest and noticed that there was a hole that hand been healed up he could feel this was Kylas Work. "T..Thank..you, Kyla, ...I love..you...also" Zarax opened his eyes to cheak if the children were safe, Ark never seized to amaze Zarax. Ark then looked at Zarax, Zarax then felt like he didnt know Ark all of a sudden. Ark then lunged ontop of Zarax stabbing the whole making it open up and bleed, Ark then jumped onto the Window Sill (SP?) With amazing speed and said "If I cant take you, Zarax, I will take your son, the heir to your curse!" and then flew off with long black wings much like Trinskths, It was definelty Trinskth.

 

Kyla screamed and leapt up. She placed her hand over the wound and the white healing light glowed.

"I'm going after Ark, my love."

From Kyla's back appeared white wings. She ran out onto the beach and shot off after Ark/ Trinskth.

"What's happening? Zarax, can you sit up? Kyla has gone after Ark. Why would he do that to his own father?"

Gharanth looked at Starr. "Can you do anything for my son?"

 

"No I am so sorry at the moment all I can do at the moment is help to make sure Sasuke is ok , he will be in a bit of shock himself."

"Don't worry Kyla will find out what's going on and bring Ark back, I can fly after her but I don't know where she has gone, she flew out of here so fast "

"Zarax are you healed enough, I am sorry I cant heal, I can fly,protect with my wings and fight if need be, but not to heal, It looks like we will just have to sit tight for a bit unless anybody has any other idea's"

Starr went and picked up Sasuke and gave him a hug, She wondered why Ark had changed so quickly and almost killed his father.

"Let me go and make some coffee"
"Gharanth do you want to hold Sasuke whilst Zarax is still recovering?"

 

"It's probably best, though I think tea would be more appropriate. Zarax, what is happening? I thought once the curse was broken things would settle. You obviously have a great burden to bear. Let the family help you. I know it's strange, but you're not alone now."

Gharanth picked up Sasuke and put him on the couch with Zarax. He then picked up the flame sword and drew the blade. "Just in case. Kyla left it for me."

 

Starr was a little worried, she walked into the kitchen and put the kettle on for a cup of tea for everyone.She hoped that Kyla would be ok, she knew Gharanth and Zarax would be worried like mad ,she wished she could do more

Starr put her hand Into her secret pocket just checking to see If her staff was still there(It's been a long while since I had to get this out she thought)

 

Zarax tried to get back up but the wound wouldnt heal and it was pretty deep "Thh....t..t.That wasnt....Arrgghh...Ark....It was...Tr..rinskth..." Zarax was in Immense pain, soo much pain that it hurt to breath or think. Zarax knew that Trinskth would hurt Kyla to get through to Zarax, Zarax didnt know what to do. "Gharnath, please help me up, I need to stop Kyla."

 

Gharanth walked into the kitchen.

"Are you alright Starr? I promised to tell you about myself, and as we can't do anything else at the moment......... I was born into a cold manipulative family, controlled by the curse. I was not the same as them initially. You must understand that this was a long time ago, and customs were different then. My bride was chosen for me from another high ranking family. She was very beautiful, but she did not love me as I loved her. On the eve of our marriage she fled with the boy who she loved. Our families hunted then down like wild animals. That night my compassion for my fellows died, and part of my heart with it. I would have gladly let them go and be happy, but it was not my choice. Everything after that was a duty. I neither loved nor cared again. Then the curse took me....."

"Zarax, lie still, you're in no state to travel. I will go after Kyla. Where's Ark. Perhaps we can retrieve him?"

 

Zarax snapped "NO, IF YOU WONT HELP ME THEN I MUST GO ON MY OWN" You could see the Determination in Zarax's eyes, Zarax then hobbeled (sp?) over to the door and jumped out the window with Black Wings. He then tried to follow Kyla but didnt know where they had gone Zarax then started screaming in frustration and then remembered he could try and Send a message.
{Kyla were are...} Zarax then fell from the sky plugning into a pool of water.
