The Shadow Period

Zarax slowly opened his eyes and looked down to the peacefully sleeping Kyla, Zarax smiled and then slowly stood up sudenly Zarax's face went serious he could sense something or someone of immense power, Zarax quickly Ran outside only to see that Ark was lifting a huge ball of white rock that he had pulled up from under the ground with his mind! Zarax stood there astonished and amazed No one could actually materialise the World around, you could create things with your mind but not actually take it from the floor. "Ark! How? How did you manage to do that?" Ark then turned around dropping the big stone creating a huge rush of dust and a huge crash Ark then ran over to Zarax smiling "I dont know, Did I do good? I just thought about Training you see I heard you and Kyla talking when I was asleep....Well I wasnt asleep...just resting my eyes" Ark then smirked and walked back to the house leaving Zarax astonished.

 

Kyla woke up on her own and panicked. She was at home, but no-one else was there. Then she woke fully and realised that Zarax must have left. She wandered out of the house, and spotted Zarax and Ark outside. They seemed to be engrossed in something, so she decided to let them have some time together. She had never really stood back and just watched Zarax before. She smiled as she saw him with Ark. 'He will make a fine father figure for the boy' she thought.

Kyla wandered back inside. She felt guilty about spying on Zarax and Ark. They were her family, and she so wanted to be part of a real family She thought about Zarax asking her to help raise Ark. She thought of birds, and concentrated. A dove appeared in front of her and flew towards Zarax. She felt flustered and hid behind the door.

 

Zarax turned seeing a bird fly towards him as the bird flew past it left a few feathers those feathers slowly fell reveileing (sp?) The newly awoken Kyla, Zarax smiled because of How Beautiful she looked, he walked over to her following Ark Glancing back at the destruction Ark had caused, Ark was going to be alot stronger than Zarax was this going to be a problem? Zarax walked over to Kyla and gave a big smile and hugged her "I see your awake Sleepy Head" He then smiled bigger.

 

"I'm sorry if the bird scared you. It's just an illusion, a game I used to play with my mother. It's good to see you." Kyla hugged Zarax and closed her eyes. She felt safe and happy. "So what were you two doing? Man things I suppose." She grinned at Zarax and Ark. "I suppose you will want something to eat."

Kyla saw Zarax not as the warrior of before, but as a gentle, caring man with a child to protect. She realised he reminded her of her father before the curse took him, gentle and smiling. She wanted to tell him, but it would only sound wrong. She went into the kitchen, and to her surprise the cupboards were stocked.

"Did you do this, Zarax?"

 

Zarax smiled "No, You did, This house, this place is built for comfort, I created this place, with my powers it has taken me 3,000 years to build and this is the second time Ive used it" Zarax smiled "I think Im going to ask Gharnath how to break the curse, is he allowed to tell me?" Zarax smiled at hoped that he could find out how to Break Kylas Curse.

 

"He knows, and he would probably tell you. He can be very awkward at times, but I'm sure you can convince him to tell you the truth. I wish I could tell you, but I really can't, as I am forbidden by the curse to know."

Kyla looked into his eyes. She realised how beautiful they were. He had a kind face and a ready smile. Kyla realised that she had taken him for granted, and not realised how handsome he was.

She hastily prepared a meal and put everything ready on the table. She called Ark and waited for Zarax.

 

Zarax watched Ark run through and sit down "Can I eat at the T.V.?" Zarax smiled and nodded he watched Ark run along, Zarax couldnt hide small hints of envy at the fact Ark was actually having a child hood unlike Zarax who had to fend for himself from the outside world, living on his own, finding food being hurt by people with Great Prejudice because of the Way Zarax looked, a small tear fell from Zarax's eyes, he then quickly wiped it away. Zarax smiled at Kyla and put his arms around her, "I will find the cure to your curse and I will stop it, If its the last thing I do on this earth." Zarax then kissed her neck.

 

"I wish that we could get rid of your curse and not harm you. There must be a way, it's not fair. I..........I could live like this with you and Ark. You could have a normal life. I want most to give you that."

Before she even thought what she was doing, Kyla kissed him.

 

Zarax opened his eyes and suprisment but then began to close his eyes and his kissed Kyla many things ran through his head, like How much Klya was going to give up for him, how much he loved her and how he was going to relinquish the curse fully, Zarax then promised to himself that he was going to break the curse and then break half of his curse If he trained with Kyla enough so that they could merge then he could keep Trinskth at bay for a few years before he would come back. Zarax then slowly began to blush this was Zarax first big kiss.

 

Kyla looked at Zarax when they had finished the kiss. "I can hear you, in my mind, as if you were talking to me. I would give up everything for you. I will train hard to be what you want and need me to be. When this is all over we will be a family. I have always dreamed of a family. I will fight Trinskth with you. There must be a way to remove your curse without you dying, otherwise you would just be immortal, and not be reincarnated."

She blushed and glanced at Ark, watching the TV. "We'd better eat."

 

Zarax blushed more and smiled "Okay, He then sat down and began to eat" He didnt want to talk with his mouth full or to let Ark here so he spoke to Kyla Telepathically.
{Do you really wish to sacrafice everything for a family? I have also always wished for one. If We ever did then I would have to be with you.}

 

'A family is something I've wanted more than anything. I had mine ripped from me when I was young, but I know what it was like. You have never had one, which is so cruel. It is a very special form of love. I could show you how happy a family could be.'

Kyla looked down. She had not realised how much Zarax had been isolated from a normal life. She felt ashamed to have treated him so badly. He deserved so much more. Perhaps she could give him the happiness he craved and deserved.

 

Zarax smiled and turned and looked at Ark who was fast asleep. "I think Im going to take him up to bed and then go to bed my self In the real world it is night now...." Zarax closed his eyes and The White Cieling and White Landscape turned into a Beach House at Night. "I hope it helps you feel more at home. I must also tell you Arks power comes from the dark recese (sp?) in my heart Each Time he uses power it weakens me, Ark used alot of power this morning so I am tired but what amazes me is how he used it without being told and actually how to channel it." Zarax smiled, Hugged Kyla and then went to bed after talking Ark to bed.

Gharanth disappeared into smoke and appeared behind Zeke. He hit him with the hilt of the sword, knocking him to the ground."

Kyla smiled and showed Zarax where the bedrooms were. She then went back downstairs and cleared up. She was enjoying the peace and normality. If only Zarax didn't suffer such weakness for his curse.She decided that she needed a proper night's sleep and went to the third bedroom. As she walked along she checked in on Ark, who was fast asleep. She altered the covers so he was warm and shut the door. She then checked on Zarax, who was also asleep. "Goodnight" she whispered, and covered him as well. She thenwent to bed herself in the third room.

 

zeke got up drew his hadow sword then he slashed gharanth across his chest

''for every slash i make on u the more weaker u become........''

 

"Oh please, try your tales on kids! You're so scary - not!"

Gharanth laughed and parried Zeke's sword. He then kicked him.

 

''i thought u were suppose to be so strong ur as strong as my grand ma''

zeke then ran torward gharanth then jumped over him

''c'mon attack me.....''

 

Gharanth punched Zeke in the nose and then jumped over him, kicking him in the back. His moves were almost graceful.

"You really must hate me, little Zeke!"

 

''u made this to easy old man.....''

zeke then reveled the shadow strings that were attached to gharanth

''heh no matter wat u do or how hard u try u cant break these''

then zeke started to make gharanth hit himself

''why are u hitting urself?! why are u hitting urself?! why?! why?! why?! why?! why!?''

zeke was generally making a fool of gharanth.......
