Kyla felt genuinely uncomfortable as she didn't know how Necros saw her at this moment.

Kyla couldn't believe what she was hearing. Jonathan had been there for her, saved her life, and was now being kind to her despite her terrible behavior. What gave him such strength and courage. She admired him.

Kyla remembered the crystal in her pocket. "I was wondering if you would do something for me? I know I'm not really in any position to ask."

Kyla was saddened but not surprised by his response. She had ill treated him, and now she was asking him to take on a great responsibility. No wonder he sounded so unsure and accepting of his fate. She realised that it sounded as if she was using him again.
